MASTERPIECE I'm not sure, What this is. But I write, Because it's to me, An escape, From reality. Believe in the stars, See yourself in the clouds. You're the most beautiful being, In your universe. As I was done fidgeting and over thinking things, I said a silent prayer to God and dailed his number after which I slowly tapped my index finger on my lap while it rang. Hy? I squeaked, after my phone vibrated in my ear as it indicated he'd picked up. "Well if it isn't the girl who didn't pick my calls." I heard him scoff which made me groan because I knew this was coming. "I'm sorry," I pleaded. "Uh uh, keep talking," He taunted. "I'm really really sorry." I whined "Why should I believe you, give me reasons." I could hear the disbelief in his voice as he spoke.

The year I was at my most starry-eyed, I gave up my chance to study overseas. Over my parents' furious objections I married my boyfriend and took in the abandoned baby he'd picked up off the side of the road. And just when our son was grown and settled and I thought I might finally get to breathe, I was diagnosed with a terminal illness. The treatment cost a fortune.
