I lie on the bed inhaling deeply and the smell is much stronger here. My heart races with the thought of someone breaking into my home and the dread in me intensifies seeing a black note on the side of the table. Ice grips me as I stare at the cursive words written in red. Caged in a nightmare. Fear the darkness, Unknown to the eyes. The flower spreads poison, just as ocean drowned the love.

I apologize that this book is really short with less than 30k words in all. I plan to edit it at some point and make it better. I figured that a really long Horror book might be less interesting and would just seem drawn out. I've not read a lot of them but I watch horror movies so I wrote this like I would picture an Horror movie. I appreciate all those who stuck with me and read Reincarnation regardless. Thank you all. After saying this, I would love and appreciate your feedbacks and things to watch out for when I do edit the book. It would be really helpful and appreciated. Bonus scene ideas too would be great. Angrier. But it was too late. Too slow. I could feel it. Their fear. Their unraveling. And beneath it all the Forge began to make a groaning sound. Like something buried deep beneath was awakening. We reached the tower. My claws tore through the doors. We stormed inside and then came the scream again. A sound that shattered bone and split stone. The Howling Horror. Another one. It was close. And it was coming. I turned toward the others, and even they looked rattled—those who’d faced horrors before now shaking with invisible dread.

I have only 3 days left before miss Lauretta throws me out. I went to collect the bill for his meal,his girlfriend is a talkative. With a click, the clasp came undone, and the pendant fell to the floor. In a flash, Zoe’s eyes widened. She grabbed my collar like a madwoman. “Y-You… You didn’t switch fates? You lied to me?!” I looked at her in surprise. “What are you talking about?” Miles suddenly exclaimed, “Ow, Maisie. My neck feels itchy.” He pulled down his collar, exposing his collarbone, and clearly revealed who was actually wearing the demonic fate-swapping lock.

Rowan’s erasure grids fold reality—white voids swallowing tendrils. Kayo’s chains bind massive limbs—foxfire burning restraints hot. Remy’s claws rend exposed joints—gold sparks flying. My **Abyssal Canticle** sings—voice carrying divine fury, shattering debuffs, swarm screaming real. Julian’s fangs drain main veins—vampire horde climbing body like ants on titan. Kōjin’s hammer projection slams divine—molten impacts cratering carapace. Monks’ light spears pierce eyes—blinding galaxies.

My jaw aches from how tightly I've been clenching it. Even after I stumble away from the roots. Even after the body disappears from sight. Even after the smell begins to fade. My stomach continues to churn. Every shadow between the trees looks wrong. Every movement of leaves makes my pulse jump. And the image refuses to leave my mind. Grotesque. Haunting. Nightmarish. And to my horror, the forest seems to agree because finally it breaks its silence. Shrill screams rips through the darkness. I freeze. Another scream follows. This one louder than the first.

And that night, my real journey began—a descent into the haunted forest, where the main battle awaited me. The place was cloaked in shadows, dense with twisted trees, thick vines, and hanging moss that obscured the sky. I felt eyes watching me, lurking just out of sight. The chill of the night air pricked by my skin, every step filled with dread. Bones littered the ground under an ancient tree, each one a silent warning of the horrors waiting up ahead. In the distance, a scary cave loomed. The thick, damp air reeked of decay and rot. It was as if death itself had settled here and made a home out of the shadows. The smell clung to my throat like smoke, sour and suffocating.

"Why don't you write those scary dreams into a story and submit it to the school's literary folio? People would go nuts if you made a story and put a note that said it was based on a true story." My friend Hazel was giving me ideas on how to maximize my time despite the situation I had with Rian. She was a close friend of mine, and she was helping me cope with my situation.
