Her pulse thunders in her ears, and it takes precious moments for the residual terror to subside in the tiniest sense of it. In the eerie stillness of the night, Marisol clutched at the sheets, her heart racing wildly owing to the scare of the nightmare that had taken a few nights off, only to return stronger than it would seem. The vivid imagery of the beast persists even behind her closed lids, haunting her waking moments as she grapples with the remnants of the surreal horror that had unfolded in her dreams.

Her body trembled, her muscles tensed as she strained to listen for any sign of danger. The night seemed to press in on her, the darkness alive with unseen terrors. Shadows danced and twisted, morphing into grotesque shapes that played tricks on her terrified mind. Every rustle of leaves, every hushed whisper of the wind sent shivers down her spine, threatening to unravel her fragile composure.

Deep into that darkness peering, Long I stood there, wondering, fearing, Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortals Ever dared to dream before; But the silence was unbroken, And the stillness gave no token, And the only word there spoken Was the whispered word, "Lenore!" This I whispered, and an echo Murmured back the word, "Lenore!" Merely this, and nothing more.

The fog faded and I saw so many pairs of yellow eyes glowing like a firefly. Those yellow scary eyes scared the shit out of me and the bodies of wolves slowly started to appear making me drag my body backwards in order to save myself and I could see death approaching me.

Suddenly, I lost strength in my leg and fell to the ground with a thud. He burned Sasha alive without any hesitation. I closed my eyes and a wave of nausea engulfed me. I feel my blood turn to ice. Fear holds me tight. The Devil's attention then focused on me. His icy eyes looked at me. My heart rate involuntarily accelerates as he makes his way towards me. I'm frozen in fear. I don't know what to do. I can't move. I can't breathe. I can only watch as death comes near me.

mind gibbered. 'It can't be real, it can't be—' But it was real. And it was looking at her like she was dinner. The creature's lipless mouth stretched into a grotesque parody of a smile. "Going somewhere, little human?" it hissed, its voice like nails on a chalkboard. The sound made her skin crawl. Cathy's heart seized. Behind her, she could hear the angry shouts of the women growing closer. Before her, the pale monstrosity loomed, its red eyes gleaming with hunger. Trapped. She was completely trapped. She was trapped, with nowhere left to run. This was it. This was how she died. Cathy's heart raced as she stood frozen, caught between the approaching mob and the nightmarish creature blockin

“You had to say poetic.” “Sorry,” she said. “But you know I’m right.” “I do,” he said. The wind slid over the ridge, carrying the faint scents of pine and distant hearth smoke. Somewhere down in the valley, a wolf howled—a long, thin sound, more punctuation than alarm. “What scares you most about it?” he asked. “Them turning it into that story.” She stared past his shoulder at the stars a moment, choosing her words.

I tried to open my eyes, but it was as if someone had glued my eyelids shut. The air shifted. Suddenly, I wasn’t in bed anymore—I was somewhere else. A dark enclosure. Dim light flickered from distant corners. The whispers multiplied, louder, overlapping. Voices whispering, shouting, screaming the same words: Blood of my blood. Before his first moon. Hands—scaly, jagged hands—slid across my body. Claws dug deep into my skin, cutting and binding me to their madness. A scream ripped out of me, raw and guttural. It echoed so violently the walls trembled. Darkness poured in, smothering every trace of light until nothing remained but the sound of my fear.

I kept questioning when this nightmare would finally come to an end. After a few minutes, my sanity and consciousness gradually crept over me. Every time I wake from my nightmare, it's as though I slowly forget everything about the present. Each time I awaken, it feels like I’m losing touch with everything around me. I have no idea why. I can't bring myself back to the current moment. I bit my lip to stop it from trembling, rubbing my eyes to clear the blur, desperately scanning every corner filled with doubt, anxiously searching for answers, terrified of whatever dark thing had followed me here. But with each sudden boom of thunder, my heart threatened to jump out of my throat. Out of nowhere, as I ran, I began to see movement in the shadows. Dark figures seemed to flicker in and out of my vision. I felt a shiver run down my spine. They moved with an eerie, almost predatory grace, like they were not human, rather they were ghosts. And they were getting closer with every step. Panic surged through me, and I ran faster, my heart pounding in my ears.
