The Hidden Hybrid’s Redemption

The Hidden Hybrid’s Redemption

The sky above the salt flats did not rain water; it rained venom. The air was a thick, choking fog of white alkali dust and the green, glowing trails of the catalyst-tipped ballista bolts screaming down from the jagged limestone ridges. Every time a heavy projectile struck our front-line phalanx, the explosion didn't just shatter iron shields—it unleashed a pressurized cloud of the glowing green silver toxin that flash-vaporized the healing factors of the wolves caught in the blast radius. The horrific, choked screams of dying warriors echoed across the vast, cracked white plains, their flesh blistering and blackening as the chemical compound melted through their wolf physiology from the ins

Gairoshi: Grit for Glory

Gairoshi: Grit for Glory

What a pitiful fate--to die alone. Carysse flinched and Chaos had to hold her shoulder to stop her. He knew her stance and temper. Any more mention of Ashki and she will be charging straight without hesitation. ''I'm fine already, Chaos. Thanks.'' She shrugged off his hand and Chaos slightly smiled. ''Then don't forget the plan.'' ''Yeah. Right back at you.'' Both of them stood apart, a gap between them. ''Just what are you---'' The Mahan wasn't able to finish talking because Chaos and Carysse released bombs--the sharp powder named as White Death surrounding and suffocating those around them.

Rising From the Ashes

Rising From the Ashes

I opened the back door and helped him place everything on the floor. “Give me two minutes to put the cameras on a loop” I told them as I grabbed my laptop out of my bag. Once I knew that no cameras would pick us up. I got behind the wheel and set off. Warren and lance followed behind in a standard, white common as muck swift. I knew that Phillip was still in the hospital so would not see us. I parked up a block away from the warehouse where he was staying. I climbed out and grabbed the supplies. I have just started to douse the car in petrol when Warren and Lance arrived. They helped me finish making sure that every part of the car was covered. I grabbed out the bow and arrow that Lance had

RISING FROM THE ASHES

RISING FROM THE ASHES

Simon turned off the engine, and they shared a moment of quiet solidarity, their thoughts aligned on the mission at hand. As they exited the car, the rain continued to pour down, drenching them as they stood on the threshold of the warehouse. In the midst of the storm, their resolve remained unwavering. Masks adorned their faces, bulletproof attire cloaked their bodies, and a shared purpose bound them together. Drake's gaze locked onto the entrance of the warehouse, his heart pounding in his chest. This was the moment—the moment when they would face the unknown, confront danger, lie against innocents .

Rising from the ash

Rising from the ash

"Please, Ryan, don't do this. He's your son! Please, don't take this from me!" But Ryan's mind was filled with anger and betrayal. He opened the urn and began to pour the ashes onto the ground. "No!" Sophia wailed, her cries echoing through the cemetery. She lunged forward, her hands clawing at the ashes as they scattered. The gray powder clung to her hair and skin, mixing with her tears as she wept uncontrollably. She pressed her head to the ground, her body trembling with sorrow. "My baby," she sobbed, her voice barely audible. "I’m so sorry… I’m so sorry…"

Broken by One, Desired by All

Broken by One, Desired by All

The next, something ripped the air from my lungs and replaced it with the iron-scented mist of a battlefield that stretched into infinity. I stood in a wasteland of ash and silver, my bare feet sinking into the powdery remains of something long dead. The substance felt wrong against my skin… too fine, too cold, as if I walked upon the cremated remains of a fallen world. The sky above hemorrhaged violet, torn between a blinding, celestial white and a devouring, oily black. These primordial forces waged war across the heavens, their conflict painting the clouds in bruised shades of destruction. I was the epicenter… the fault line where light and darkness collided with enough force to unmake re

Shirley Sarchett
I usually don’t do reviews however I feel like this book may get overlooked. I didn’t know how I would feel reading this book at first but the author has a fantastic way of writing which is easy to read and picture. I think the romantic relationships in this book is more tasteful than I expected!

Bloodied Ashes

Bloodied Ashes

Kael (POV) The ash came first. It slid downriver in a thin gray current, scattering through the reeds before the wind carried it inland. By the time it reached the clearing, it was only dust in the air, settling across the shoulders of those who waited. The pack stood in a wide ring, faces lit by a pale flame at the center. The night smelled of smoke and wet earth, a scent of endings that refused to fade. I stood apart near the trees, where the light thinned. The hum beneath my skin had been building all evening. It started low in my bones, then spread outward, into the ground itself, into the air that held its breath.

The Luna Queen

The Luna Queen

That could kill any wolf instantly, they were the most dangerous substances to be mixed together, wolfsbane alone could do a minor damage, but with ash wood, death was almost inevitable. “I thought I had gotten rid of all the ash wood”, Dwayne said with surety. I had learnt it in my history class that during the great purge, humans had found a way to kill the werewolves, they started mixing ash wood and wolfsbane together. They made bullets, arrows and daggers just so they could clear our race, but the werewolves were victorious at the end of the day. From then on, ash wood had been made illegal to all. “Somebody really has it out for the queen then. Ash wood is not easy to find”, the other

Crowned in Ash and Silver

Crowned in Ash and Silver

"The dead don't need land. Besides, Horton is weak, and your father was a fool. This pack was long overdue for a change in leadership." I struggled to sit up. "What about the Blight? You knew it would kill innocent pack members—" "The Blight?" Marcus laughed. "That, my dear she-wolf, was our masterpiece. A poison designed to cripple the land… and your inconvenient little gift along with it." "What?" "Where do you think the corrupted energy came from?" He pulled out a small black vial. "A special poison, courtesy of Brynn. A few drops can contaminate an entire forest."
