I turned to find Clara still backed against the tree, with a dagger held in both of her hands aimed at me. I took a step towards her, and realized that she had never seen me in wolf form. She had no idea who I was, and she must be terrified that I was another Rogue. So, I shifted back into my human form. Clara stared at me for a moment, and then she turned to run. She made it a few steps before she collapsed. I ran to her side. She curled around her stomach, face pinched with pain. I turned her over and smelled blood. Had the Rogue already hurt her?

I start, glancing briefly at him. Clair follows my gaze, her expression flickering for the briefest second before she looks back at me. “I was just helping escort some of the elders away,” she says smoothly. “By the time I came back… everything was already handled.” I nod slowly. “Yeah… he does that.” The words slip out before I can stop them. Blood sputtered out from his chest, and I could see Clair’s claws coming out on his front.

But was soon pulled out of that pleasant memory when Sienna snapped her fingers in front of her. “Woman. Snap out of it.” Sienna was smirking at her when Clair looked at her friend. “Thinking about your guy?” she asked in a teasing manner. Clair’s face heated up as she felt that it turned beet red. But she cleared her throat and looked Sienna right in the eyes. “Actually. Yes.” She boldly confessed. “And let’s go. I think Isla has had enough of saliva swapping for now.” She smirked. “Okay.....
