I turn to the other side, a fuzzy feeling coiling its way into my chest.
“Wait,” Cassian says, as I descend the stairs. I grunt, turning to face him. He stands at the base of the stairs, his shirt unbuttoned enough to reveal the patterns of ink winding over his chest. The transparent window catches the gold chain dangling on his neck, drawing my attention before I can look away.
“I'm not staying here another day,” I say, folding my arms over my chest.
“I wasn't going to stop you.”
“What do you want then?” I ask, placing my hand on my waist.
