Hidden Alpha's Daughter
Cody was in a good mood, and I didn't want to risk changing that.
The day seemed to go by slowly again, and I was starting to feel off again by lunch. I wasn't hungry, so I skipped the line, went straight to the table, and pulled out my sketchbook and a pencil from my backpack. Flipping to a blank page, I started to draw the cafeteria, the other students, and even the staff there. My goal was to draw the new kid but to make it look like he wasn't my goal. I was so focused on drawing I didn't notice when Cody sat down until he snatched the pencil from my hand. Looking up from the book, I smiled at him, and he handed me back the pencil. "Where's your lunch?"
