At one point, Montez leaned subtly toward her, his lips brushing her ear as he whispered, “Why does he look at you like that?” Her breath caught. “You’re imagining things.” But Montez’s hand tightened over hers beneath the table, his suspicion unrelenting. Yanov raised his glass. “To partnerships,” he said. “Old and new.” Crystal clinked around the table. But when Yanov’s gaze locked with Amira’s across the rim of his glass, the message in his eyes was unmistakable. Amira’s stomach knotted as she forced herself to sip her wine. They were bound by a secret past that should never come to light. The most dangerous game had just begun.

At this proximity, I could feel his warm breath against my face. I suddenly leaned forward, and he instinctively turned his head, avoiding me. The gesture ignited my temper. Unable to resist, I spat a mouthful of wine right into his face. Droplets slid down his sharply defined features and disappeared into his collar, leaving behind an oddly charged atmosphere. Calmly, I grabbed a tissue, wiped my mouth, and casually tossed it at his face. "Sorry, couldn't help myself." Zach shot to his feet, hurling the bottle to the ground with a loud crash. The shards flew everywhere, one slicing into my exposed calf.

“One point five million.” A woman in a tailored emerald dress lifted her paddle, calmly but alert. “One point eight.” Another voice followed almost instantly. Then another. “Two million.” “Three.” “Four point two.” The numbers climbed too fast for an object whose history is supposedly almost erased. Within minutes, the price surged past reason. Seven million. I didn’t move. Neither did Vincenzo Romano. The dagger that was meant to be reclaimed quietly for Lola had turned into a competition….because people like to gamble when they think they’ve spotted hidden treasure.

She broke their sight and returned to Abby after holding it for a time. As Abby approached the pool, she drew the three individuals' attention. “Okay. Guys, listen up. She began, "Let's play a game. This pool game is called the chicken brawl, and I'm sure you already knew it. Initially, I desire a Joust, but I don't believe there is a pool noodle here, so let's have a chicken brawl. Are you on?" she inquired. Keith agreed, although Hannah, as expected, did not. "All well, because Hannah doesn't want it and I've never seen Lucas’s object, Rye will replace Hannah—"

After spotting an empty bar, Leah rushed to sit down. She relaxed a bit, wiping off the sweat on her forehead, and drank from her perspiring water bottle. Leah unlocked her phone after feeling a little better, checking the app. It's been a while since she last had a decent hookup since Patrick took most of her free time. It almost felt unfamiliar to her now. Her hand went to her inbox. Leah kept all the read messages from most of the users on mute. At the top of the list, a user named Ur007Man stayed unread in bold. She clicked to see what they sent.

Alice teased me, bumping her hips with mine and I just shook my head at him. "Shut it." By noon, we were called by the game master for the game of the day and I know it will be something physical. "Today's game is called 'Don't Push Me, Ex'." Just as he spoke, the curtain covering the pool area opened and we reacted differently when we saw the setting. The pool had two floating platforms opposite each other. On the floor, inflated bodysuits of different cartoon characters can be seen as well as big cotton buds-like weapons.

The droplet running down her cleavage from her lips making me so hard, at the same time her nipples doing nothing but telling me she is damn aroused. “Let's play a game, princess," I said, entering the pool. “Game….” She asked, looking at me. The height of the pool was enough to not fall but still swim if you go deep inside. “Yes, Game like old time…” I smirked. “What game do you want to play, swimming race,” she asked.

“Any proposals or addendums since our last meeting? “I have a proposal,” Veronica speaks up, holding up a perfectly manicured hand, as she uses her other hand to adjust her stylish glasses around her short blond hair. “Every year we play several small games and have several targets. What if we tried something different? What if we have a game that lasts all year with a single target?” “That might sound fun at first,” Simon blurts without bothering to wait his turn or raise his hand, his muscles flexing as he bends forward in his tight school shirt. “But wouldn’t it get boring?”

“If you’re allergic, just say so. Lloyd didn’t know. Did you have to put him on the spot?” “I put him on the spot? I just said that I wasn’t eating it, and that was considered putting him on the spot?” I mocked them both. “If he doesn’t know that I’m allergic to peanuts, that’s fine. But what about you? Are you telling me that you don’t? “Are you seriously telling me you can’t tell that he’s provoking me?” The series of questions rendered Naomi speechless. I took off my matching ring and threw it at Lloyd. “For you. I hope you two live happily ever after.”
