“Oh God!” Out of everything that I’d learned after turning into a vampire, the stories of the Elders and their Death Squad had scared me the most. Because anyone who came in contact with the Death Squad didn’t live to tell the tale, there weren’t many knows facts but from what I’d heard from the whispers, they were the ghosts in the shadows, the boogeyman of the vampire race and anyone who came into contact with them died a painful death.

I’m sure everyone knows somethings going on between us but I’m starting not to care. “It’s time to tell ghost stories!!” Becca announces. Anybody got a good one? Everyone looks around but no one volunteers. “Oh shit! What about that night we watched the Gremlins.” Michael says I know exactly what he’s talking about. I asked frowning, I have never heard about this. Ray laughed, “ It was in the bedtime stories, my mother and granny used to recite them to us to make us scared of going out in the middle of the night. you know how pups are! As soon as they start shifting that’s what they all want to do for a long time. The male pups even go out at night to run through the woods. So to keep me and my brothers safe, my mother and granny told us this myth. How at night a creature who is not man nor beast roams the landing of woods and if pups go there, he will eat them.”

" " There's a real story, about a silver monster, someone said he looks like a wolf, and someone said, he looks like a human." I said completely terrified but I must warn them. I asked her curiously as I sat comfortably on her couch and the three of them sat on the big one adjacent to mine. "Well, I believe that there's nothing to be scared of. The ghosts, vampires, witches, and werewolves are just in the books. Right? Fiction. Not real." My oblivious girlfriend explained, and that made the three of us, supermarket beings, look at each other. If you just knew, Pryce. None of us here is purely human. "Uh, yeah, yeah. As if to confirm the truth of Ryker's story, there was a very long wolf howl, overpowering the sound of their bikes.

“Story!” I couldn’t help but smile. “You want a story?” I asked, stifling a laugh. The children nodded excitedly. “The wolf story!” one of them exclaimed. “We want to hear the wolf story again!” How could I refuse? The ‘wolf story’ in question was one that I had made up yesterday on the spot, a story about a rogue wolf chasing a little girl. It was a scary story that had made the children gasp, their eyes wide with fear, but they seemed to love it.

“Fine, we’ll let Hellfire tell us a ghost story.” “I don’t know any ghost stories,” I say. “What about you, Siren?” Venom asks her. “Nope.” “Well, then, it’s time the two of you become good at making up stories,” Intrigue says. For the next couple of hours, while Hacker and Sphinx work in the van, the rest of us make up ghost stories. I have to admit, Raptor is really good at making up scary stories and Intrigue is as well. Megan’s aren’t terrible, but Venom’s are, as they said, pretty stupid. I’m not sure mine are any better, but I made up one about the ghost that lives in the river, and it made everyone glance at the river we’re sleeping beside more than once.
