Cracking His Code

Cracking His Code

It registers seven hundred and fifty meters away, where it matters. Oliver says in a voice completely devoid of inflection, "He’s down." "Northeast ghost." "Still walking. Nine minutes from his next swap point. He hasn’t been alerted." "Move." Dom and Saint go over the wall first. I follow. We cross the ten meters of access lane low and fast and stop at the second wall. A hedge along the cleared ground that we move through, not over. The hedge is camellias. They’re dense enough to take a man in soft black tactical with no reflective surfaces and not move except where he moves them.

Guarding the Badboy (English)

Guarding the Badboy (English)

Vince got near to that bush alone and slowly approached it and instead of suddenly opening and startling that creature behind the bush, he slowly parted the leaves covering it to look at the creature. But unfortunately, Vince just stood in his place. “Why, what is it?” Clyne asked and approached Vince to look at the creature. He was also disappointed with what he saw. “Oh. It's a hedgehog,” Clyne said. “No kidding,” Vince replied and just turned away from the place. “Welp. So much for being stealthy—” “CLYNE! VINCE!” a shout broke out suddenly in the distance. Clyne let out a sigh knowing whose voice it was shouting. “Now what does he want?” Clyne asked himself and walked over to where the s

Hunching lower, I rush after where I saw her go. Thicker hedges rise in front of us. I'm wondering how we'll climb over when she suddenly crawls underneath. Baffled, I copy her, struggling through the tight branches. I come out the other side with leaves stuck in my hair and to my clothing. Picking them free, I throw them to the ground only to realize that the space I exited was hiding a gap in the fence. The road is in front of me. I start to squat, worried a passing car might see me, but there's nobody coming. Sasha lives in a remote enough area that traffic would make little sense at this late hour.

The Sickened Luna's Last Chance

The Sickened Luna's Last Chance

Shrubs and vines had popped up from between the burnt slats of the first floor. Multiple little creatures had made a home of the place, too, little birds’ nests dotted along the few rafters that were still standing. Somewhere, I could hear the soft chittering of a family of possums, and an owl was sitting stoically in a tree branch nearby, although it took flight without so much as a rustle of wings when it saw us coming. It was… “Beautiful,” I breathed, looking at the clearing in awe. My mother grabbed my hand and gripped it tightly, and when I glanced over at her, tears were in her eyes—but she was smiling.

The Billionaire's Ex-Wife Wants Revenge

The Billionaire's Ex-Wife Wants Revenge

⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅• The Sunday morning air was crisp, carrying the scent of fresh earth and blooming flowers as Katherine stepped into the maze. The towering hedges stood like silent sentinels, their deep green leaves untouched by the changing seasons, weaving a path that felt both familiar and endless. The sound of birds fluttering through the branches above filled the quiet, their songs threading through the stillness like a melody meant only for her.

I moved between the rows, careful not to disturb her precious seedlings. Then her voice floated back from the other room. “And don’t think this lets you off the hook for the hedge trimming!” I smirked. “You told me last week not to touch the hedges ever again after I ‘butchered them like an amateur sculptor with a grudge.” She reappeared in the doorway, one eyebrow raised, hands on her hips. “Ah, yes. But now I trust your judgment slightly more. Plus, if Robin sees them, she might assume we’re a civilized family.”

The Alpha's Runaway Luna

The Alpha's Runaway Luna

Hazel P.O.V. The lower gate guard up the block lifts his head as if hearing his name. Three quick knocks sound on the post. Two slow. Old coin code. Becky kills the gate’s attempt to be helpful from her place with Lily with a little grunt of effort and a grin. “Foxglove favors the quick,” someone murmurs from the hedge. Josie’s voice is a ribbon you can hang anything on if you don’t mind it snapping under weight. Grady leans a fraction.

Keeping to the Family

Keeping to the Family

Max saw the change in her almost as the sun went down for the day. His hedgehog turned rather sultry again. Though the night before had brought many changes to them both, and some of them would be hard to explain, he really didn’t think it would be easy to have the same kind of night.

Hunting for Midnight

Hunting for Midnight

Clearly, that knock to the head is affecting my ability to concentrate. Get a grip Leslie... you're not going to die from a rose prick or become cursed. While overgrown, the thorny vines and weeds growing around the archway are thinner than any other spot I've seen along the hedge. Thin enough, in fact, that I can vaguely see through the archway and gasp at the sight. Hidden behind tall overgrown pine trees, bushes, and vines appeared to be a massive building approximately one hundred yards away on the other side of the hedge. This definitely wasn't on the trail map...

Too Late To Apologize, Mr. CEO

So if anybody tried to sneak in that way they’d get a nasty surprise. Then I went to look at the back yard. It was long and rectangular, with a tall wooden fence around it. At the far end was a thick, overgrown hedge that bordered an alleyway. I approved of the fence, but that hedge was perfect for cover. Perfect for an approach. I’d have to do something about that.

I loved this book! It was hilarious! And did g drag on into oblivion. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again these authors with there drawn out 300-1000 chapter books could learn from authors like u!
Sidney Siqueira
The story starts off a bit rocky but then finds its rhythm; the turning point unfolds gradually. I suspect the author faced some personal issues toward the end, but she still delivered a proper conclusion. It’s better than many stories that drag on for 500 chapters of endless nonsense. Best wishes.
