I said simply. “There is an auction set to happen just a few miles from this town,” he said, his voice grim and measured. “It is underground and kept discreet. The word going around is that it involves… rare goods.” My jaw tightened, my expression hardening. “Goods, huh?” I repeated, my mind already starting to piece together what that could mean. He nodded firmly, his expression serious and hard. “That is what they are calling it, but we both know the truth, wolves, shifters, and maybe even humans are being caught up in the trade.”

Conversely, the lights brightened on the central podium on the first floor. A man with brown hair stepped out, dressed in a pristine white suit, his hair impeccably groomed. He held a microphone and after a brief introduction, proceeded to the first item up for auction. The platform beside him slowly ascended from below. On it sat a remarkably unique bronze cauldron. A flying monster adorned the cauldron, lifelike and majestic. The host announced loudly, "This is an antique dating back a thousand years, classified as a national treasure and previously prohibited from sale. Now, the auction officially begins!"

The next thing I knew I was supported to the center of the stage. “The last item for the day, is of course our Phoenix!.” The auctioneer announced and immediately the hall was filled with resounding claps and cheers. “The Phoenix item is the newest and latest, and of course the most important criteria a virgin”!. He added. My eyes almost bulging from my sockets, how does he know I’m a virgin?!. “Let’s start the bidding” the auctioneer announced. “Three hundred thousand dollars”! The voice of a man was heard in the room followed by a gasp from the audience.

“I never thought I'd say it, but thank you for dragging me to that pottery workshop with you.” She grabbed my hand and squeezed it. “You're welcome, Sarah.” The stage light flashed once more, and the host announced the final item of the auction—my teapot. The nervousness reappeared at once. I might have laughed and cheered before, but as my poor piece of painted clay was presented, I stopped breathing. The host gestured at the audience. “Ladies and gentlemen, let's start bidding on this beautiful teapot ornamented with golden painted flowers and—”

Out of nowhere, rough fingers occasionally touched her exposed shoulders, as if deliberately looking for an opportunity while Pandora could do. The spokesperson's opening greeting added to the pounding of the heart. Pandora swallowed and wondered what would happen next. Offers start at the limit price! Pandora didn't know that a man in a black suit had raised his hand. "1.2 million pounds." Sounded so solid as the first auctioneer. Pandora's face instantly paled. Is she for sale? Who dares to claim the fire?” Leonard raised his paddle with the casualness of someone flipping a coin. “Paddle 9—$200,000! Do I hear $220,000?” Another paddle rose across the cage. Then another.
