Bright smiles adorned their faces as they posed for the picture, but I found it difficult to find what Lucean found humourous until I saw in the picture that his pants were completely soaked.

Beneath his text was a plethora of images, mostly consisting of Timothy and I, along with a few of Aria and Lucas. Many of them were candid photos of us laughing and playing with the dogs. One photo in particular had Timothy and I in the center, crouched over a labradoodle as it attempted to pee in the water.

Her anger still hadn't subsided. She resumed scrolling through the articles on her phone. Countless new notifications appeared, but she barely paid attention to them. Her thumb moved across the screen mechanically as she continued reading. Then her phone beeped again. This time, a photograph appeared among the notifications. Zoe tapped it absentmindedly. The image immediately filled the screen. She froze. The photograph showed Pete's mother holding her son in her arms while smiling brightly at the camera. For a moment longer, Zoe simply stared at the picture without moving.

“I did?” He nodded. “I still have a picture of it. Hold on.” He reached into his pocket, pulled out his phone, and swiped through photos until one filled the screen. There were two small children, a boy and a girl with messy hair and red-eyed, sitting in the dirt. The girl clutched onto a tiny broken doll, while the boy pretended his leg hurt. I laughed softly through a sniffle. "Is that you and me?" “Yep. Proof that you’ve been dramatic since birth.”

Still looks for, longs for his mate. I sigh and turn back towards my desk only to be greeted by large pictures of Citra and our pups littering every inch that isn’t used for more practical things. I’ve never been able to take down her pictures, even though they gut me every time that I see them. I never will be able to.

The first picture captured the little girl, her angelic face adorned with green paint, her smile infectious. Xavier couldn’t help but sigh and melt at the adorable sight. His previously furrowed brows eased, revealing a softer side of the typically stoic Alpha. As he continued to scroll through the pictures, the transformation in Xavier’s demeanor was palpable. Daisy’s radiant happiness seemed to wash over him, and a smile played on his lips. The next image showed a grumpy Liam, his tiny face contorted in a frown, arms crossed, and a pout on his lips.

I knew I should delete some as they were about fifty pictures altogether but they were just so cute, even the blurry ones as Caela refused to stay still long enough for capture. “See yourself baby” Taking her hand, I use it to point at the screen. Laughing when she leans forward to lick the screen. Angelo however seems to be frowning in most of the pictures, only smiling in the one I’m carrying him and Caela in one arm each and another where I’m kissing his cheeks.
