Leesa's Advent

Leesa's Advent

“Oh, all right. What on earth could you have gotten me? And how much is missing from my bank account because of it?” “Very funny, and I didn’t raid your bank account for anything. Here, open it.” He handed her a beat up Styrofoam box. She opened it gingerly; an inexplicable feeling of excitement and dread washed over her as a figurine slowly emerged. A bronze statue appeared, about ten inches tall, of a beautiful woman in a long, flowing gown, holding a serpent in one hand and a shallow cup in the other. She had a star-shaped crown on her head from which a veil draped down. The stunning woman’s face remarkably mirrored Serena’s own. Her mouth dropped open, but no words came out.

The simile made her smile, though a tugging on her heart reminded her that dark things were never too far away. She tutted and ignored the negativity such a thing threatened. She placed her hand into the pockets of her jeans, and pulled out a small object. She carefully held the button in the palm of her hand, and was mesmerised by the power it held over her. This was the most precious gift. An acknowledgment of the sacrifice they had all made to thwart a great evil. The button represented stolen moments, borrowed time in which she could remember what it had taken to give something back to the world.

The Price of Peace: Book 3 In The No More Regrets Series

The Price of Peace: Book 3 In The No More Regrets Series

When we finally step away, after way too many pictures, we both just stand there for a second. “Okay,” I say, exhaling. “That just happened.” She laughs. “Best line we stood in all day.” We wander some more, buying souvenirs. I grab a handful of mini figures. Tempest buys this LED headband and immediately puts it on. The lights flicker on. I point. “That’s actually really cool.” She grins. “You think?” “No,” I say. “I know.” We keep walking until I spot the Constantine booth.

Reborn Wife Is A Revenge Genuis

Reborn Wife Is A Revenge Genuis

She refused to be the cowardly Elsie of the past. In her last life, she had not gotten anything for Justina and was worried about embarrassing herself. So, she asked April for help, and April gave her a bottle of perfume by a middle class brand. At one look, Justina broke the bottle in anger, and the shards ended up scarring Eldon's face. Thinking about this made her breathe fire. She ground her teeth to control her anger. Finally, the gift was revealed — a delicately crafted porcelain figurine, depicting a scene of a grandmother and grandchild, their faces filled with warmth and affection. The intricate details and the emotion captured in the piece were undeniable.

Happy New Month Guys!! This is romance which is part of a series but can also be read as a standalone. For those who love completing series check out Redemption's Sweet Temptation too. Feel free to drop your comments here(this page) because I won't be able to read those in the chapters.

Haven’t fully read the first book in series, started to but found this book more intriguing. Love the storyline, it would be nice if you occasionally introduced parts of the back story, but otherwise I really am enjoying the characters. I do think you went a bit overboard with amount of villans

A Daughter’s Revenge

A Daughter’s Revenge

I was only 11. She was just a beautiful porcelain figurine. Hollow. Devoid of any emotion. No love or grief. No joy or pain. Genteel and perfect. Expression forever frozen. Not a single crack showing. So delicate and breakable, something to display on the mantle. Something to be possessed and coveted. A beautiful piece of art to admire.
