T None of this made any sense and even though I didn’t believe in superstitions, thought it more my mother’s domain than mine, I couldn’t help but feel a shiver running up my spine at the thought of all the blood. After having caught my breath, I brought my hands up in front of my face just to make sure there wasn’t any blood on them and then questioned myself for being ridiculous. I must have gone crazy if I started to believe in premonitions, but I still couldn’t deny that it all had felt so real…

No notifications trying to pull me back into anyone else’s orbit. Relief hit first, warm and immediate. Good. No expectations. No one waiting for me to respond. No silent disappointment disguised as Just checking in. Then, because my brain enjoys chaos, disappointment followed. It wasn’t sharp or dramatic. Just a small, annoying flicker. The kind that made me roll my eyes at myself. What exactly were you hoping for? I didn’t know. I never did. I sighed and shoved the phone back into my pocket, already exhausted by the mental gymnastics required to interpret my own emotions.

At first it is so small I’m not sure if I’m seeing correctly, but soon it grows larger and larger until I can see Fineon’s worried expression. "Fineon?" I whisper, crashing into the light. "It’s you." "Are you okay?" he asks as the real world begins to shape itself around me. "You were calling my name." "I’m…" I begin, my eyes taking in the familiar room around me. "I had a nightmare. No, not a nightmare. It was a premonition." "What did it involve?" he pushes, pulling me into his arms. "To have left you so frightened." "You can’t," I whisper, understanding what I was being shown.

Was I just being absent minded, ignorant or simply unaware? "I can't invoke to see the future because It àlways comes without warnings. It shows me what is going to happen any time soon in the future when I didn't call for it. It could come as a dream, a premonition during the daylight or any time when I least expect it. It always just set in without warnings but I am glad I got accustomed to it and now I can control it better without freaking out by the things I see," she explained but I was still curious.

"I'm fine! I was just thinking, should I just go home?" "Why? are you bored here?" "No! not at all! I was just worried, like something was going to happen!" she said. She started to feel that bad feeling this morning, after a bout of intense pain in her head. At that time, she thought that this bad feeling happened because she was influenced by her mood swings. However, it turns out that she still feels this premonition. "Something's going to happen? Is that a bad thing?" "I don't know! sometimes I have hunches like that. Although I don't want to think too much about it!"

I just have a premonition that something bad will happen soon. It's like the feeling you have before the storm when everything is calm and quiet and within seconds the weather changes radically. Black clouds cover the sky and heavy rain falls on the ground. Of course the rain is refreshing but makes you soaked to the core until you get home. Am I ready to face difficulties again? Will I be able to overcome them this time? Oh! I don't know. Too many thoughts for one day! I'd better stop worrying and enjoy the evening.

"You okay?" He's quiet for a few moments, before flicking the top to the beer he's drinking into the trash can. The sound is loud in the almost silence of the room and I can't help but jump. Any other time I would have laughed, but it doesn't seem appropriate right now. Not when he seems to be in this weird headspace. "Something is going on, Addie. Something bad. I can feel it." He's had these feelings for as long as I can remember. Some people call them premonitions, he just knows that when he feels one strongly, something is about to happen.

But it doesn't win all of them. Not exactly comforting, but honest in a way I appreciated. "I keep having these flashes," I admitted. "Not full visions, just fragments. Faces twisted in pain, darkness swallowing everything, someone screaming my name. I don't know if they're premonitions or just fear manifesting." "Probably both," Morwyn replied. "Your prophetic abilities are awakening, but they remain unfocused. Your fear colors all you see, so it is almost impossible to discern actual future from imagined possibility.

It’s like a puzzle piece fitting where it belongs. “Sadie?” I face Raven when she calls my name.
