It’s like a puzzle piece fitting where it belongs. “Sadie?” I face Raven when she calls my name. There is panic and nervousness shadowing her eyes. “What if it wasn’t a dream you had, but a premonition?” Shit. Damn it, I hadn’t thought of it in that light. I didn’t want to think of it in those terms, but what if Raven is right? What if it’s a premonition? A premonition of what’s to come. A premonition of my death.

I love the action, or maybe I’m riding off the high from last night. Tomorrow I will get answers. Answers that I fear might only make more questions, and even if it doesn’t, I’m sure whatever answers I get might not be exactly what I want. I can’t shake the feeling that the truth will be shocking. It has to be. I’m blessed by the Five, and I never even knew it till recently. I have no idea why I have premonitions, and it’s unnerving to know that the dreams I thought merely coincidental were so much more than that. I suspected it, but to have it confirmed makes it too real.

He nods and pours a glass of the spiced wine for himself. “Can- can the future be changed?” I ask. “Yes, that’s the whole reason the Goddess sends premonitions, so we can alter the course of the future. Otherwise, what’s the point of them?” I nod and sip my wine. It’s not bad. Sweet and fragrant, and it reminds me that the premonition I had wasn’t real. I imagine me picking off the scent of smoke and I hear people shout from the backyard and before I can wrap my fingers around it, fire escalated and everyone yelled and try to run away to safety but the doors and windows were trapped, it seemed like a set up, like their aim was to assassinate someone. Do you ever got that feeling? When deep inside you, you know that something big is going to happen but you can’t point it out. There is a tingling sensation trying to dominate the pit of my stomach, the goosebumps on my body that drives me crazy. Nature. It was natures warning or maybe a sudden premonition about this day but sadly, I was entitled to ignore the call of nature for I was ought to check the cabin where every twisted event on my life began.

"The toxin will work within 24 hours, with no antidote. Want the delay agent? Then, get on your knees and start begging me!" Spettro lunged forward and grabbed him by the throat. "Where's the antidote?" "There's no antidote, only the delay agent. It's in my apartment," the technician said, wheezing. "But you won't make it in time." I calmly raised my hand and studied the red dot. "What toxin?" "A new type of neurotoxin. It starts from blurry vision, then loss of muscle control, and finally, respiratory failure." The technician coughed up blood but continued, "You won't live to see tomorrow's moon. The Donna's era is over."

I let my eyes flutter closed, recalling every detail of that vision. “I don’t understand,” I tell her. “I don’t have premonitions. But I saw it. I think. Maybe?” I open my eyes and look around the room, needing to get a visual of where I actually am. “It was just like the last time I had a weird vision. It felt more like an out-of-body experience than a—” I look at Pandora. “That’s it. I think I’m intercepting something. I just don’t have any idea what or who…or why.”
