Pride And Prejudice Book Novels & Stories

Unable to help myself, I speak up. “What is your favorite book, Gloria?” She looks over at us, surprised by my question. “I’m Ashley.” I smile as I hold my hand out and gently shake her little hand. She smiles. “Hello, Ashley.” She reaches up and cups my face in her hand. “God blessed you, my love.” I frown. “I’m sorry?” “You are so beautiful.” I smile bashfully, embarrassed by her attention. “Pride and Prejudice.” She smiles a soft, far away smile. ‘If only I could read it one more time.”

"Believe it, because you have certainly done that, and there's still many more to come. Did you see the way everyone stood up just for you? Angel, I'm so proud of you!" She smiled widely at my words. "Really? Do you really think that they liked my work and didn't just stand because I'm your sister?" She looked a little uncertain now. "Eva, didn't you see how they murmured their approval right from the beginning? These businessmen are arrogant idiots who don't bow down to just anyone. They stood up because you deserve it. Oh, I'm just thinking of how rich you're going to make me. I'm going to be richer than you, Adrian." I joked, bumping my shoulders with my husband- the word giving me happy

What I was surprised to see was a first edition of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. My mouth dropped open in surprise, and I took the note on top. I know you would have loved it if your grandfather had given you the book he religiously gives you as a gift. I am sending this on your behalf because it can't come as a surprise to you. Remember that in spite of everything, I love you; you are my only sister, Chiara. I could not help crying anymore. I took the book with devotion and put it in safekeeping. After that, I watched a Korean drama about a woman who realizes that her whole family, including her husband, ignored her. I sighed and stressed over the woman's decisions, but in the end, she

She looks around at the unfamiliar surrounding. The walls were painted in white and gold, the bed she was sitting on was big with satin bed sheets. The wall above was adorned by a beautiful chandelier. She felt like she was in paradise. Her eyes traveled around the room till they set on the woman sitting on the chair beside her with a book in her hand. Pride and prejudice was the title of the book. In her perspective the woman was gorgeous and screamed of royalty. From her hair pin, to her jewelry and to her dress.

I threw myself back in the teal armchair, annoyed that I didn't discover anything. Then I see it. An old copy of Pride and Prejudice. But what strikes me is that this is not the only copy of this book I've spotted on her shelves. In the 11th grade, we were assigned the book for our English literature class. While I love to read, I do not like being told what I should or shouldn't read. I complained to my mother that there was no sense in reading 18th-century chick lit that has no place in today's world. My mother laughed at that and told me that it was one of her favorite books. She said it was the ultimate love story where both characters are forced to face their flaws and grow as people, t

Pride and Prejudice. "Really? Jane Austen? I thought you'd have found some new novel for me! You were always complaining about looking for expanding my horizons." "And you were always going on about classics, Fifi. Come, sit here and read the book." Adi scooted over as he made space for her to sit but the sheer action of getting into bed with him made her tremble. 'Please remember that you are not a virgin, Fifi! You don't have to be so on edge!" Faith reminded herself failing to realize that she was addressing herself with the nickname he used.

“Why do I always get left behind? “ She got up and started running outside towards the cottage, she locked herself in and went to her old room. She just couldn’t bear it, she thought she was strong but having a broken heart and a close relative dying, she was crumbling inside. She just huddled in a corner looking up at the photo frame on top of her side table. It contains a photo of her and her parents, it was a picture of peacefulness and happiness. Beside that is a photo of Ami and her uncle, she grabbed the photo and pressed it to her chest. There was a loud pounding at the door but she ignored all sounds and reminisced all her happy memories with her uncle. He acted as her mother and fath

My personal favorite. We come to a halt in front of some double cream doors, the sound of a lock clicking as he opens the door. I step around him, looking up at him, while he waits for me to enter. As I gaze up at the lovely room, my breath catches in my throat. A long corridor lined with books from floor to ceiling. A light cream floor, cream walls, and vast white book shelves housing hundreds or thousands of books. His footsteps echo around the room as he walks closer to a specific bookshelf. I watch, perplexed, as he taps on many books as he travels along the shelf before pausing and picking a book out and immediately comes over to me. "I know it's not the same but." He walks away, handin

I knew she had a dinner party coming up and I’d be able to see her soon. Finally bringing myself out of my nostalgic days as her apprentice, I opened the letter and read through it. Dear Lilith, I hope you’re doing well. It made me so happy to see you at Barry Halls’ wedding. And I think you did such a wonderful job finding him a wife, she’s an absolute sweetheart, even if she’s not as rich as his parents would have liked. Her intellect brought so much more to the table than simply a pretty face would have (although a pretty face can be enough to get by with).

The more I try to draw boundaries she is making it nearly impossible for me to control myself from going and grabbing her face and kissing the shit out of her. I take a deep breath and return a soft smile," how about the classics, lex?" I ask her to divert my mind. " well, pride and prejudice is the only one I can truly think of!" she caresses the book on the book rack. " hmmm, interesting. I can't find any better than that one in the classics," I say while walking toward her. " but I think sense and sensibility were nice too, you know," I whisper not wanting to disturb other people in the store
