The king-sized bed with light pink rose-patterned beddings and the white wooden furniture in the room made the room seem suitable for a princess out of a fairytale. “A maid should be bringing you some clothes and the things that you’ll need soon. You should shower and go to sleep,” the prince repeated. “What about you?” I asked in a small voice before I could stop myself. The prince gave me a confused look that made me bite down on my lower lip thinking that it was probably better if I had successfully held my tongue. “What do you want me to do? Do you want me to stay here with you?” he asked as if he could read my innermost thoughts.

What should have been her walk-in closet had a dog bed that matched her own. They were both wrought iron with intricate curves and spikes. The King distasted dogs but he allowed her to have one after Prince Alexius had explained that the castle gets lonely... he knows and talks from experience so having a pet would be great for Princess Elisabet. Amelia didn't seem interested in any decision making that involved her own daughter.

It was a square, well-designed room. Her window has lush silk and heavy fabric with a rich, deep red and golden design color, draped by golden tassels and tiebacks. By her right where she stood was the dressing table and gold-framed mirror, then a door leading to what seemed to be another room...definitely the bathroom.

She slowly closed her eyes and, in the blink of an eye, fell fast asleep. In the same Crowne Mansion, a wheelchair glided into a bedroom drenched in every imaginable shade of pink. From the wallpaper to the decor, the room was a shrine to the color—clearly the domain of a child. Even the silk bedsheets lay in a careless, rosy tangle on the mattress. The maid wheeled Princess to the center of the room, bowed slightly, and moved toward the bed to tidy the mess. Princess watched her in silence for a moment before maneuvering herself toward a floor-length mirror. She stared at her reflection, her expression a mask of cold indifference.

She was astonished and the couches, the rugs, the ginormous chandelier in the middle of the room and the black brick fireplace that was the centrepiece of the foyer. "Come, I'll take you to your room, you can stay here as long as you need." Rhae grasped Aynyra's hand again and guided her up to the second level and through the halls. Aynyra noticed the usual princess comment was left out, and she appreciated how unusually kind Rhae was being towards her. Taking her through what felt like a maze, Rhae stopped in front of a large dark wooden door. She took a key from her pocket and unlocked it, passing the key to Aynyra and signalling her to enter. A second bed appeared moments later and we laid down keeping our eyes on them until we fell asleep. The pixie coming in the room startled us awake. “Who are you? Why are you in the Princess’s room? What is going on here?” She cried out, disappearing into thin air. I rubbed our eyes and blinked. What in the bloody hell was that about? The pixie returned moments later, clearly with a different demeanor. “I’m sorry, my Prince. I had never seen you before and you frightened me. I am Tanz, my Lady’s assistant. I was not expecting this at all.” She fluttered in the air and bowed graciously.
