POV: Kael The first chain snapped with a sound that shook the mountain from its deepest foundations. Ancient metal that had endured for thousands of years shattered into blazing fragments, scattering across the Heart Chamber like falling stars. Every piece that struck the ground dissolved into silver dust before the wind carried it into the darkness below. The impact rippled through the cavern, forcing warriors on both sides to brace themselves against the fractured stone. A second chain followed. Then a third. The echoes rolled through the ruins of the First Kingdom, and every ancient spirit fell silent.

I was working the late shift for awhile but I was changed to mornings about seven months ago and that is when my life got interesting. The days were blending together with seeing the same people and doing nothing new until I started working breakfast and lunch at the diner. I first seen him a month after my schedule changed and I have seen him most days since. I know he belongs to the local mc by the vest he wears with their logo but I have never really spoken much to him. He is the most gorgeous man I have ever seen in my life and I want nothing more than to speak to him but he says the bare minimum when he orders. We were a force, an unbreakable chain forged by a singular purpose. As dawn closed in, painting the horizon with strokes of crimson and gold, the rogues faltered, their numbers dwindling beneath our relentless resolve. And there, amongst the rain of ashes and embers, hope flickered bright, lighting the path back to safety, away from the chaos that had once threatened to consume us.

I roar, louder than the chains, louder than the cavern, louder than the Council above. But the pulse answers again. It hammers through me, through the shackles, through the skulls. The cavern splits hairline cracks, glowing ember-red, veins of earth remembering their first fire. One link snaps. Just one. The sound is a scream, a hymn, a promise. The chain jerks slack, and for a heartbeat, my arm is mine again. I laugh. A wild, ragged sound, stitched with triumph. But the cavern doesn’t laugh with me.

I cursed as I laughed at her joke. "Oh don't fvck me Cass. Fvck your husband." "Arggh! You're a hopeless case bitch," I commented then forced myself to stand up. I felt like I am going to fall when I stood up. Damn! Ayesha you're dead to me tomorrow, I mean later. I walk to the bar counter 'though I was tired. Fvck, this is really torturous. I am losing my poise for this shit. "Excuse me.." I called the bartender's attention.

My knees are losing their strength even more He was shaking his head while his eyebrows creased. This man! he was silent for two minutes shaking his head and trying to analyze the situation. This is hopeless. He won't stand for me nor the child. I held the edge of his table and stood up only to find myself falling down.
