Jerome walked to the heavy oak door. Click. He turned the key, locking them away from the rest of the school. He moved to the windows, pulling the thick, black blinds down one by one. The room fell into a deep, artificial midnight. For the students, it changed nothing, but for Jerome, it turned the classroom into his private theater.
He walked over to the audio system and pressed play. A recording of a dry, boring lecture on cellular division filled the room. "Listen closely," he commanded. "I expect a full report on the tactile differences of cell membranes by the end of the hour.”
