Why does it have to be you, asshole?” The young man, Loki, laughs sarcastically. He snaps his fingers, and a wall of fire rises around us, making the prehistoric birds hesitate to attack again.

“No one disrespects us or Alpha Perez!” Loki shifts quickly, running into the forest. I have no doubts he can outrun them and lose them. He was a rogue before we took him in and he’s a smart kid. He isn’t Finn, but if I needed to replace my Beta, I would’ve chosen him. I watch as Lance stands up, walking to the tent with water, “Hurry, come here,’ he whispers and I watch as the woman appears. “Here, drink this water, they’ll be back soon.”

It tasted foul, but I swallowed until it was gone before handing the cup back. Loki took it and stood. I pretended greater weakness than I felt and fell back,

“Copy that. I’m hitting the tunnels to keep gangs from misreading the chaos.” Ines typed faster, muttering, “Come on, come on, you smug ghost…” Liora kept her voice even. “Can you defuse Project Salvation’s protocol?” “I can try.” Varian leaned toward Liora again as the room erupted in frantic motion. “You okay?” She nodded. “It’s not fear. It’s anger.” He exhaled, jaw softening. “Good. Because she’s not done.” Liora looked at him fully then.

“I know it is hard to believe that I am telling the truth, but you have to." Lucinda scoffs, glaring at her and trying to intimidate her into talking. “Tell us everything you know," I demand. “After the Crest City pack was destroyed, the rogues were afraid of what would be done to them. They felt that if a pack can be wiped out in a blink of an eye, then our existence as rogues would be easier to wipe out. So some group of rogues gathered and summoned other rogues from around the world, and the strongest was chosen as our leader."

Volume 2 would be released in a different book here on GoodNovel and the subtitle would be, TWO WORLDS COMBINED. Although, I need your encouragement to write more. With the results I'm getting I'm having second thoughts about continuing this book or just tossing the whole idea in the trashbin.
