“Robert, please, help me. You know this is wrong. Please you have to get me out of here. I don't know why you helped her- ow! But please, Robert!”
He stared at me for a while before muttering.
“Sometimes saving someone means breaking them first.”
The words made no sense. “What does that even mean?! Look, Isaiah will forgive you. I'll talk to him, okay? Please just get me away from this psycho,”
“Your husband is the real psycho!” Robert spat. “What he did was sick. You don't know half of it, so shut up, okay?”
I whimpered, sobbing as the ants crawled away from me. My skin was all red and blotchy, and I felt even weaker.
