She was just what my monster was craving. I looked over to my left and found the phone. I gently ripped it from the wall so it wouldn’t make a sound and then pulled the knife from my pocket. I cut the cord and quietly walked closer to her. This one would be quick. I just needed to feed the beast. She was a fighter as I pulled the cord around her neck. She struggled against me gasping for air. The pan of bacon fell to the floor and made a loud noise. She was gasping and fighting trying to say something but I wasn’t listening. I watched as her life left her eyes and she went limp in my arms.

Harvey ran to her. "Don't!" Wallace and Clyde chorused as they ran after him. "Harvey!! Son! It's me, come help me!" she said. Harvey got there and stretched his hand to pull his mother out. As soon as his mom grabbed his hands, she started pulling him, inside the pit. Her change suddenly changed, to that of a monster. Wallace and Clyde ran to help, but a weird, unknown animal jumped at Wallace, battling with him. "Save Harvey!" Wallace yelled and Clyde ran towards Harvey, he held Harvey's leg, trying to pull him free from the monster's grip.

It stepped closer, its heavy, metallic claws clicking on the stone. Natalia looked at Trevor, then looked at the monster. She smiled a bloody, lethal smile. "Hey, ugly!" Natalia shouted at the top of her lungs, channeling her voice directly at Lord Trevor's pinned body. "Your next meal is right over there!" The monster screeched and bolted—not toward Natalia, but straight toward the source of the sound. Straight toward Trevor. "No! Wait! Get away from me!" Trevor shrieked, frantically clawing at the stone as the shadow of the seven-foot beast fell over him.

"My unit didn't intend to compromise your position." Rubbing the bridge of my nose to check my temper, I anchored my hands on the iron frame of the bed and swung my heavy torso back onto the sheets with zero leg assistance. Noticing the seamless, brutal efficiency of my upper-body leverage, Chika’s pupils contracted, his gaze locking onto my hands. I met his eyes, my inner wolf recognizing the deception immediately. "That maneuver was executed with absolute intent, little wolf."

Every one of them, I dodged with my newfound method. Even so, keeping my mind on full alert left me exhausted. By the time we finished, over an hour had crawled by. Strategy: agree once, stay silent once, refuse once.] It was for the next loop. Even though I'd survived this round, I couldn't be sure those were its only conditions. Better to leave as many breadcrumbs as possible for the me who came after.

The second I gasped for air I knew the monster had failed. Pain still burned through my neck but it faded fast. My eyes snapped open. The world rushed back with firelight and shadows. Aziel Nightbane stood frozen a few steps away. He stared down at me like I was a nightmare crawling out of the grave. My bones clicked back into place one by one. Skin pulled tight over the break. I sucked in a deep breath and felt the mate bond flare hot between us. It pulsed stronger than before and linked every beat of my heart to his.

They had such an excellent bond based on their likes and dislikes. The real Monster had not yet finished, but had just started. She would awaken Luther's true monster. She would destroy him and his family. She would make Noelle's life an absolute hell. This is the second part of Monster. *********

Then he squatted down and quickly picked up a stone, throwing it at the monster behind him. With a snap, Uncle Kong threw the stone right into the monster's head. Swoosh... The monster screamed from time to time like a mouse, which was very ear-piercing. This hit the monster's head heavily. At the same time, it was completely irritated. It was not beaten down, but chased even harder. Its target was very clear, which was to kill Uncle Kong. Uncle Kong was scared out of his wits. He ran faster than a rabbit, for fear that the monster would catch up with him.

It reached one of her legs and tried to pull her down. "Mrs. Dapit! Let go! We're both going to fall! Please!" she screamed, but it didn't stop pulling her. The branch she clung to broke with the force of the monster's pull. Luckily there was another wider branch below her, and it caught her. The beast did not miss the opportunity and jumped at her. She tried to fight, but it overpowered her.
