Then it was time to kick toward the top surface and gasp for air. "So", Six said, "what do you think?"

The water inside glowed with an ethereal blue light, and fish I'd never seen before swam lazily through it. Some were silver with iridescent scales that caught the light. Others were deep purple with long, flowing fins. One looked like it was made entirely of light, its body transparent except for the soft glow emanating from within. "Holy shit," I breathed. Kael chuckled, setting me down on my feet. "You like it?" he asked. I nodded, still staring at the aquarium. I fucking loved it.

Torvis began crying over his bowl of cereal. Ellie quickly shushed him, looking around worriedly. Her intentions were protective, I knew, but that only made him cry harder. Then Mylannes joined in.
