Put Respect On My Name Novels & Stories

I said after a few moments. “I guess I should now give it. Seeing you moved in here without even knowing my name, I should give you your props.” He said in a gentler tone. I chuckled at that. “Then I guess you should, Alpha.” He smiled then said boldly, “My name is Nathan but people call me Alpha Nate.” “Well, it's a pleasure to meet you, Alpha Nate.” I said and he nodded, “Likewise.” He stretched his hand forth and we sealed our knowledge of each other in a handshake.

I explained the shortened version of my name was also used intentionally, every single decision I make when it comes to my businesses, I’ve had to sit and plan so my father can never find out I’ve built this life he doesn’t know about. “I think Rose or Rosemary Cooper sounds better.” Baxter, who had once again walked across the room to stand beside me whispers, having to roll my eyes at his comment but my heart pounding even thinking about that name, I place my arm around his shoulders as he stood in front of me, both of us watching as the guys have to formulate a new plan as my buildings were no longer mixed in.

“What?” “If being a Penking is too hard. Change it. Legally. Take a different name. Create your own identity.” “Would Dad be okay with that?” “I think he’d understand. He’d probably encourage it.” Sam thought about it. “What name would I even take?” “Whistleton. My maiden name. Your grandfather’s name.” “Sam Whistleton.” He tested it. “That could work.” “Think about it. Talk to Dad. See how you feel.”

All the love and pride and absolute certainty that she could handle anything life threw at her. When we finally pulled apart, both breathless, Mia rested her forehead against mine. "I want to rename it," she said quietly. "What?" "Cops Industries. I hate everything about that name. Everything it represents." She pulled back slightly. "I want to call it Anita Trade and Investment. After my mother. Build something she'd be proud of." The idea was perfect. Brilliant. Exactly what Anita would have wanted. "Do it," I said. "The board will fight me." "Let them. You own fifty-one percent. They can't stop you."

"I need to tell you something right now." Cassius grimaces slightly at my tension. He glances at the approaching concierge and lifts a hand to gesture for a moment’s privacy. He looks at me, his dark worried eyes search mine. "What is it, Trinity?" "For the purpose of this fundraiser," I say, breathlessly, "I need my name not to be Trinity." His brow furrows in confusion. "What?" "I'll be Nicki," I continue, gripping his hand tighter. "You know . . . Nicki."

“You’ve done well keeping things separate. Professionally, at least. But people talk. Clients, partners, even donors…. Some assume you’re still carrying the name. Some assume you’re still married.” I said nothing for a moment, eyes drifting toward the tall windows. He continued, his voice gentle, “I’m not saying it’s urgent. But clarity matters, especially when your name is attached to so much. It might be time to… settle it.” “Thank you for telling me,” I said quietly. He stopped, turning to face me more fully. “You already build something extraordinary, Anastasia. You already have.” And just like that, he gave me a warm nod and walked off — leaving me standing in the middle of the hallway.

"The registry requires a legal name for official pack correspondence and filings." "Then record what is true," I said. "Not Caesar. I am not carrying a dead man's name as though it were earned or something to be proud of." "Should we leave the surname line blank in the registry?" Corwin asked. "Strike Caesar from every official document, record, and plaque bearing my name in this building," I instructed. "Where my name appears, record it simply as Tate. The formal change will follow once I've settled on what comes after. I will advise the registrar personally on the replacement tomorrow morning."

But for now, I had no obligation to inform him of my plans. The primary condition of our contract was that we must not do anything that would affect each other’s reputation or work. My independent business venture did not violate or affect anything. Not to mention, I was confident that this would become a booming project in the future, a surprise powerful enough to shake the business world. The staff handling the paperwork asked me. “What would you like to register as the company name?” I thought for a moment before replying. “Future Funding. I want to register that name.”

He looked composed and striking from every angle, the same steady presence I had come to rely on. “What’s going on?” I asked, leaning closer so that only he could hear the low question. “It’s nothing serious,” he replied. “We simply have a few matters to settle.” “With me?” He nodded once. Martin cleared his throat and met my gaze. “Serenity, the invitation cards must be prepared and delivered to the guests soon. We need to write your name correctly.” My brows drew together. “Yes? What is the difficulty with that?” “Regarding your name. Will you change your last name to Blackthorne?”

I snapped. “I'd advise you to add some respect to my name. It's called Beta Damon. You need to know, so I won't punish you for it next time.” He said and walked away with a chuckle. I pulled my hair and groaned. “I won't spare them!”
