Pyro X Scout Novels & Stories

"Six unidentified signatures approaching at Mach 10! Papasok na sila sa canyon!" Ang mga Precursor Scouts ay hindi gaya ng mga barkong nakita nila sa Earth. Sila ay hugis-karayom, kulay pilak, at gumagalaw na tila lumalangoy sa hangin. Sa isang iglap, nagpakawala sila ng mga Plasma Beams na tumama sa mga defensive turrets ng Outpost. "Vargo! Legion! This is it!" sigaw ni Xander habang isinusuot ang kanyang Wolf-Alpha Armor. "Gamitin ang mga tunnel! Huwag silang harapin sa open field! Ambush tactics!"

But Taheem didn't respond, instead he stood still, never for once tearing his gaze away from the two of them. The man's eyes bore holes into them and Omar felt Megan shiver, he knew she was afraid and he understood why she should be, especially of Taheem. The man was a human robot, loyal and devoted only to the Sheikh and the only person whose presence made Omar uneasy. Taheem would willingly use 'any means necessary' to carry out the Sheikh's orders, Omar wasn't afraid of the man but he feared for what they might do to Megan is either of them resisted, they would not dare harm him. His father didn't have her best interest at heart and Taheem was obviously no different.

Instinctively, Kyra ducked under the onslaught and struck back quickly, taking out her attacker. The scout, a young man with a desperation-filled gaze, attempted to get away, but Lyla and Damon stopped him fast. Kyra stepped forward, her expression unwavering and icy. "Who sent you?" she questioned in a threatening, low voice. The scout made an effort to fight his captors, but it was obvious that he was inferior. He spit out, "Xander will destroy you all," his voice full of defiance. "You can't stop him." Kyra squinted her eyes. "We will investigate that. Tell me, what plans does he have?"

My hands tremble as I type in Scar's number. "This is Zoya," I say the moment he answers on the second ring. "Oh my goodness, Zoya. Tell me you're safe." "Yeah, I am. I'm okay." I keep my voice from trembling as I nod, looking around the dark woods. I just fought a bunch of rogues for goodness knows why, Xander just confirmed that he wants nothing to do with me, but of course I was okay. There was no other way to be. At least I have Scar. I still have him.

“Kyla is my lover, and the two are mates. It’s… complicated, but I’d be very thankful.” The scout’s eyebrows shoot up as she hears Dereck. She then considers me and Kyla once more before shaking her head in disbelief and then replies, “then I’ll request enough for everyone. I never thought two leaders like them could be mates, but you were one to befriend the oddest of people all the time, so I’m not surprised.” At last, the scout stops just outside a pair of large doors. She gives it a knock and then, with a loud voice, she says, “the leaders and Dereck are here now.”

The seer, perched near the hearth, let out a long breath. “You’re all mad,” she said. “And stubborn. The Goddess loves that.” “She would,” Rowan muttered. *** In the end, the team looked like this: Me. All four Mooncrest brothers. Kael and Rian. Plus a very small support detail: Kade, grizzled and unflappable, as lead scout; a Nightveil tracker whose name I didn’t catch the first three times because it was mostly growls; and one healer Theron trusted enough to leave his side—Ida’s stern cousin, Lysa, who’d once stitched a man’s arm on a moving wagon without blinking.

The Scourge models were thrown backward, their ragdoll animations twisting violently. Ren forced his breathing to slow. He centered his crosshairs on a heavily armored Scourge Brute leading the charge. It's a man, a tiny voice screamed in Ren's mind. It's a man trying to feed his family. Ren pulled the trigger anyway. The sabot round vaporized the Brute's head. One down. "Jinx!" Leo yelled over the deafening gunfire. "They're flanking the left side! Drop a cryo-trap on the pedestrian walkway to slow their pathing!"

His watchful eyes scan the surroundings, ensuring the safety of their journey. Hunter, adorned with his trusty spear and a dagger tucked into his wrap, takes on the crucial role of scout, swimming at the forefront of the group. His weapon of choice, a sleek and sturdy spear, is poised to strike at a moment's notice, ready to defend against any threats that may emerge. The gleaming blade of his dagger serves as a versatile tool for close-quarters combat or precise underwater tasks.

She believed that she'd get the answer this time. "So, Sir Ignis, are you ready to tell your secret now?" *** "Let him in," Marcus ordered the man standing by the large wooden door. His name was Hector, the mercenary his family hired to guard him when he moved to Pago. Without delay, Hector called the man outside; a middle-aged man entered the room. He was wearing mismatched armor sets; he might have either stolen or looted it from who knows where. Marcus could also see three empty scabbards, hanging on his waist, for a long sword and two daggers. On his left cheek, a two-inch scar.

Violent. "They can't stop!" Zack shouted, holding a young scout who was halfway through a transformation. The boy’s jaw was elongated, his teeth jagged and bloody, but his human eyes were still wide with terror. "The moon... Vic, it’s the moon! The frequency is too high! It’s forcing the shift, but it’s not letting go!"
