Scout X Tracer Novels & Stories

“Exactly. And I'm here to protect everyone. What's the issue here?” As I engaged in a tense dialogue with the hunter leader, I noticed Xander examining their equipment from his hidden position. His eyes opened wide when he noticed a symbol on one of their cars – a fancy eye inside a triangle. He looked at me and gave a small nod. We'd seen that symbol before, in old books about supernatural hunters. This was no ordinary group.

— Pilot: Tourniquet Role: Advanced Reconnaissance Loadout: Federal Shipyards “Prowler” Light Scout Chassis [B] Myrmidon Technology “Longbow” Modular Rifle Platform [B] Federal Shipyards “Adjudicator” Electromace [B] Federal Shipyards “Eagle Eyes” DeepScan Sensor Suite (SM) [A] — Tourniquet advanced forward cautiously in the Dark Forest, hyper aware of his surroundings. He was, after all, deep in enemy lines. His sensors were on full blast, but in a very narrow cone aimed straight at Xylo.

He just needed to catch the signal. At the safe house, the team was already waiting. Equipment was being set up: laptops with GPS software, signal triangulation devices, and a network of mobile hotspots to boost connectivity. Xavier didn’t waste a second. He gave them Cynthia’s bracelet specifications, the exact model, and how it transmitted signals. The team connected the tracker to their systems and held their breath. Xavier’s pulse raced, every passing moment intensifying the tension.

“The Stone Bridge Pack?” But that’s… Hunter nodded, a look of disdain and resentment in his eyes. I knew that look was not directed at me. “Scarlett’s pack.” My breath hitched in my throat. My wolf growled at the thought of seeing our mate with the likes of Scarlett Tate. The more I tried to picture it, the more my blood boiled and my veins threatened to pop. “Whoa, easy, tiger,” Hunter chuckled grabbing my attention. I frowned at him. How is he taking this so lightly?

We always kept one there in case of a mischievous situation. A few moments later, Adrian walked in. “Good day, Alphas,” he greeted. “Adrian,” I acknowledged. “This is what you asked for,” he said, stretching out his hand. “Thank you,” I said as I took it from him. He bowed slightly and left. The tracker was smaller than usual, which I appreciated. Its size would make it far more difficult to discover. “What’s that?” Xavier asked. “It’s a tiny GPS tracker,” I explained. “It’s going to be part of our plan.”

The scout led the way, nervously glancing over his shoulder as if expecting death itself to spring from the shadows. “Here,” he whispered, halting at a narrow gap between two ancient oaks. He pointed to the ground. “Tripwire. Mechanical, but deadly. You step wrong…” He trailed off, shivering. I crouched, examining the wires strung between the trees. They were nearly invisible, fine copper threads coated in dark resin. I smirked. Amateurs. Or clever enough to be dangerous. I knelt, carefully cutting one wire at a time, my fingers steady despite the tension clawing at my chest.

"Too bad for him, we hunt ghosts with thermal." "Grid is active," the tech said, turning the screen. "Zoom on the sedan," Hugo commanded. The tech tapped a key. A bright silhouette flared inside the car's outline. Right next to it on the passenger seat was another unmistakable, glowing shape. "Look at the seat," the tech pointed. "That heat signature? That’s a suppressed rifle. Ready to go." "Mark the bastard," Hugo snapped. "Get his coordinates." "Locked." Hugo nudged the scout with his boot. "The sweeper. What's he packing?"

What right did Tristan have to go to Esther's house now? At that moment, his friend, Matthew Hudson, came up with an idea. "Tristan, I just remembered. The Straburgh investment conference is next month. You can attend, representing your company. Since Russell Group is a major player there, they'll definitely be attending. "Esther is a loyal person. You two have been together for eight years, and they've only known each other for a few months. How can he be compared to you?"

a voice barked over the guards' shoulder radios. Sean’s guards didn't hesitate. They didn't shout warnings. They simply moved. Two guards shoved Tracy into the armored SUV while the other two opened fire. They weren't using standard bullets; they were using high-impact kinetic rounds designed to shatter bone and stop a man in his tracks without killing him instantly. The first hunter took a round to the chest, falling back into the van with a sickening crunch. The second tried to return fire, but his rifle was knocked from his grip by a precise shot to his forearm.

— a rank of werewolves who are assigned to search for missing people. Aside from searching for missing people, a scout’s job also includes gathering information or intel inside and outside the Pack to gain knowledge and formulate a strategic plan based on the information gathered. In the human world, they are somewhat equivalent to spies or the CIA. Only the Nightshade Pack has such a rank in their Pack. That rank was only invented as a solution to have a specific team of experts whose main goal is to search for their missing Luna or Sebastian’s sister. The scouts of Nightshade Pack are highly trained, and they are experts when it comes to searching for information and even people. With the
