I Just Wanna Get Laid

I Just Wanna Get Laid

Quin felt herself buzzing with energy that wasn't spent and her skin sensitive to the slightest sound of his approaching steps over the floorboards. On the third day the atmosphere changed. The day passed in the heavy and drowsy silence. Quin was standing in the kitchen, afternoon sunshine filtering into the house through the slanted beams. She was leaning on the kitchen counter, her elbow rested on the cool surface of the countertop, scrolling aimlessly through her phone. Her screen was glowing with unread notifications, her attention was fully occupied by the silence of the house. She was wearing loose sleep shorts that had ridden up with her posture and were stretching across her ass.

Don's Blackmail

Don's Blackmail

Kate had somehow managed to hold in her wails and hiccups because she didn’t want to enrage Placebo even more. And now, he was pacing inside the room, giving her the scariest sensory deprivation – Silence. The only noise that resonated in the room was the crisp and rhythmic clicks of his leather boots on the cold tiles. Fear ate her veins as she watched him like a scared antelope baby watching a huge tiger – Defenseless and vulnerable... When she thought that she might go insane from the lack of noise, he broke the silence. “Do you know how good it feels to know that Quisito is out there, losing his mind, like I lost mine when he snatched everything away from me?” Placebo stated scornfully,

Queit Places: A Novella of Cosmic Folk Horror

Queit Places: A Novella of Cosmic Folk Horror

“Erm . . . probably. Usually these beings can’t . . . I guess you’d say manifest here in our world. But they can sometimes enter it through Quiet Places like the forest, and we can even leave this world if we want to, and if we know how.” “So these Quiet Places, they’re like a portal or something?” “More like a place where a portal can be opened. It’s because they’re very old. They haven’t changed in eons, and they’re the parts of our world that came into existence first, the bits that everything else grew from.” “Is that strictly scientific?” “I don’t think so. Matthew was more of a mystic than a scientist.” “And he put all this in his paper, that’s where you read it, right?”

The Beautiful Silence

The Beautiful Silence

He said. Quinton grabbed the remote from his end table and turned on the television hanging on the wall. He found the movie we were wanting to watch and leaned back against the headboard. There was a knock at the door and Quinton went to stand up. "I'll get it" I said putting a hand on his chest to lay him back down. He looked so comfortable. I got up and opened the door and a young girl was standing there with a silver tray. "Here you go ma'am" She said handing me the tray. "Thank you" I said before she walked away.

Quiescence

Quiescence

Everything I saw was screaming elegance and royalty like a prince or a king was residing in this beautiful yet lonely enormous manor. "Hello? Anybody here? I am lost and came across your house… Can you please tell me where am I?" I shouted yet only the cold silence answered me back. I walked and walked but I didn't see anyone then I saw a dark door was ajar from the west wing, tempting me to come and take a peek. As I was facing the front of the door, I held my breath and slowly pushed the door wide open and my eyes beamed with fervent curiosity as I saw a very tall dark-haired man with broad shoulders, facing his back to me. The room was dark with only a single vintage wall lighting sconce

Dead Weight

Dead Weight

Quiet is not the same as peace. Maya knows this because the base is quiet in at least twelve different unhealthy ways. There is the quiet of people pretending not to talk about her. The quiet of people very much talking about her behind water tanks, curtain walls, laundry lines, and one suspiciously philosophical stack of bean crates. And then there is the quiet Eli Carrasco carries with him. That one is different. That one does not push. Which is, frankly, rude.

was over. The Quiet Room. Elara hit a hard, cold floor. She didn't feel asphalt. She felt Tile. The air was sterile, smelling of ozone and expensive cologne. The roar of the cassette player was gone, replaced by the soft, rhythmic beep, beep ,beep of a heart monitor. She opened her eyes.

Her Silent Heart

Her Silent Heart

Leaning in close to my ear, Mary whispered, "I know it's really warm and comfortable, but don't fall asleep yet, okay? We haven't escaped the storm yet." I murmured softly in response.

The Alpha's Quiet Mate

The Alpha's Quiet Mate

Kieran's POV The sun was already creeping through the curtains, and Elara was curled beside me, still asleep. She looked soft. Peaceful, even. I stayed still, not wanting to ruin the moment. Everything was quiet, just the sound of her breathing and the occasional sound of birds chirping outside. It was the kind of quiet that felt rare, like the kind that only showed up when the world finally decided to slow down. My arm had gone numb under her weight, but I didn’t mind. There was something grounding about having her here. After everything, the chaos, the fights, the moments I wasn’t sure I’d earned her trust, this felt... good.

Sanza Rocca
Great story start to finish! Nice twisty plot, wonderful action, suspense, and love that you can feel radiating off the pages! I definitely loved the dialogue, plenty of wit, charm, and sass to spare! Highly recommend!

I really loved this story!! The storyline was different from so many of the others from this genre! I loved the characters and their interactions. The only thing that kept me from giving 5 stars was that there were some grammatical errors and sometimes speaking was attributed to the wrong person.
