I touched it gingerly, a shiver running through me. The sound of a soft thump followed by a rustle of movement drew my attention. I turned to see Lina, Felix’s pet rabbit, hopping into the bathroom, her nose twitching curiously. She was a stunning thing, snow-white fur, ears tipped with the faintest hint of gray, eyes like polished black glass. “Hey, sweet girl,” I murmured, crouching down to scratch behind her ears. She leaned into the touch, her whiskers quivering.

But when I see the two figures she is holding, I am left unable to speak. The two babies have too much hair on their bodies and on their heads was... What is that? My eyes widen as I take another look. The babies have wolf ears growing on their heads. Both of them have brown, curly and tiny ears on each side of their ear. I am unable to react and I have a hard time processing what is going on. “What are those?” I ask the doctor. She looks surprised by my question and look at the two figures in her hands before returning her gaze to me.

Be slow. 'Right,' she says, sounding unsure. It takes her a moment before she takes a confident direction. I let her lead, following close behind her. She stops, her nose twitching, before taking a turn and walking with her nose close to the ground. 'There,' she says as she confidently stops, raising her head and glancing back at me. I look ahead and, sure enough, a small black and brown rabbit sits in the middle of a small clearing. It eats some foliage, it's ears twitching every here and there. 'What do I do now?' Her voice sounds unsure, all her confidence from a moment ago lost to the world.

The rabbit anxiously asked her as she pulled her ears down making a total cute image in front of the viewer. Hellion blinked her eyes and said. “ Can I touch those?” She pointed her finger on her ears expectantly. The rabbit shook her head and drilled herself on the wall. Hellion retracted her arm, disappointed. Xegris then appeared behind him and glanced at the trembling rabbit lady. He raised his brows at Hellion and then pulled his attention towards the innkeeper. “We’d like to check out.” He said with a smile.

Hundreds of them. They didn’t look exactly like the rabbits back home. They were about the same size — brown, black and a few white ones — with long, floppy ears, but they had elongated faces, and instead of a pom-pom tuft, a pinkish stub for a tail. They didn’t hop, either. More scurried about. “Aw!” said Flossie. She walked up to the nearest one and picked it up. She picked it up! I was stunned. If it was going to be this easy we’d have five daggers each by sundown.

They’re wily.” The rabbit struggled in her hold as if knowing its fate, and so she sank her teeth into it quickly, feeling it go limp in her hold as she drained it.
