Rainbow Crown Novels & Stories

Seraphine’s hands never smelt of salt. When Prince Corin was born, bells rang before the afterbirth cooled. Three days later, my father signed the decree that stripped me of my right and placed the crown’s promise on a child who could not yet hold up his own head. I watched the ink dry in the candlelight. It looked like blood aging into brown. “Riley,” he said, not meeting my eyes, “this will steady the realm.” I had been steady. I had been ready. I had been first. None of that mattered against a name written beside “male” in the book of law that Seraphine had already opened for him.

Aameris spoke almost in a whisper, but everyone in the room heard him. The three couples kissed, then turned to look at the crowd. Lindaat started to glow, and a crown appeared on her head. Twisted silver and bronze metals looking like a tree being held by silver roots. Around the crown, small diamonds rose, looking almost like trees. When she turned to look at Teleraamon, he had a circlet of the same silver and bronze on his head. Ailive gasped when a crown appeared on her head, with a solid silver band with sapphires around the edges that looked almost like tears. Dakkaath had a circlet of silver with a hint of bronze in it. Xylia smiled brightly at the two, then felt something on her head

For once, I did not try to make myself appear smaller. Greta adjusted the fabric over my shoulder and smiled at my reflection. “You look like a Luna.” “I am a Luna.” Her smile widened. “Exactly.” On the vanity rested the ceremonial crown. It was not delicate. Ironclaw did not create delicate things. The crown was made of dark silver, shaped like two wolves facing each other beneath a crescent moon. Small black stones had been set into the metal, catching the morning light. I lifted it carefully. My hands trembled.

Jeffrey was the first to get out of one of the cars. He raised his phone and snapped a photo of my front door, shouting, "We're here! First stop of the day, getting the Toyota Crown bridal car!" The others filed out one after another. Aunt Mindy, wearing a maroon colored jacket, immediately pulled out her phone and started livestreaming as soon as she stepped down. "Today is my son's big day! I'm livestreaming the ultra-rare old Toyota Crown that most people have never seen! Let me show you what real luxury looks like!"

she projected her voice, hiding any fear she had. “Then please, recite after me; As queen I will protect all wolves who need protection. I will bestow my advice and knowledge for all who need it. I will follow my mate, the King in all his endeavors.” Klara repeated the words, glancing to Marc every now and then to see his proud, warm smile. Elsbeth took the crown of intwined thin gold strands from her head, and placed it on Klara’s. Adelaide brought forth a gold handled dagger, although this one had a blue sapphire encrusted in the hilt. She handed it delicately to Elsbeth. She nodded subtly to Klara, who nodded back, she’d been warned about this part. Elsbeth nicked her palm, before passing

“Today, Calliyah and I are excited to share with you our research on the Enchanted Moonflower, a flower steeped in mystery and legend.” “The Enchanted Moonflower,” Calliyah continued, “is a nocturnal bloom that only unfurls its petals under the soft glow of the full moon. Its ethereal beauty is enhanced by its shimmering silver petals, which seem to dance in the moonlight, casting a spell of enchantment on those who behold it.”

A response from also one of the lady nobles. "Meee too! I am hoping and I even prayed for the whole night! You Lady Janice, what happened to your time with the crown prince?" "We rode a boat in a lake full of pretty flowers. He offered his hand to me to help me get into the boat. He has such a firm hand, you heard he also fights in battle for the country right? He has the hand of a real knight, he even let me borrow his handkerchief." "Wow, I want to hold his hand too! I'm envious, can we see his handkerchief?"

“But I’ll be going ahead to change my armory.” Darina returned to her tent. She immediately wiped the wet arrows she washed a while ago. She made sure that no weapons could reflect her fight against the beasts. Darina changed her inner clothes to red that can cover her neck. She puts on her golden armory and her golden helmet. It was heavier than the black armor and too precious to be worn for games. Darina took her golden scepter that signifies her grant authority as a fostered child and a royal cavalry captain. When she rose, the glow beneath her skin caught the light and scattered it across the walls. The day of her coronation had begun. The city of Valoria had never seen such light. Dawn poured through the clouds like molten glass, spilling across the temple spires and the marble terraces below. Bells answered one another from every quarter, their echoes folding into a single, rolling thunder that seemed to shake the sky.
