We all look up to see the sky covered in thousands and thousands of black dots. "Professor Runn," Headmaster Noah shouts. "Yes," Professor Runn asks, running to the headmaster's side. "I want to be sure," the Headmaster starts, "But those are three different animal swarms. Right?" Professor Runn adjusts his glasses as he leans forward to see the swarms better. "Wait," Headmistress Amaya says. "Did you just say 'three different swarms'?" "He's right," Runn says, leaning back. "I see crorvid and aggridid and even dipteric. But how is that possible?"

Armina's perspective: I stare into the sky in amazement as flames ignite, the air around us pushing it up into the sky like a tornado. As I watch I see them; hundreds of oversized crows; their bodies igniting as the sound they make is so high pitched all of us wolves are on the ground. The sound piercing our ears, I try to block it out, my intense hearing working against me as the sound feels so piercing I'm worried my ears are going to rupture.

Blue happily wagged his tail. "This is Blue," I announced. "I know who Blue is." Wow. Someone's grumpy. "Blue, this is Raven Crow." Crow rolled his eyes. I grinned. "You two stay here while I get ready." Then I pointed at Blue. "Behave." I shifted my finger toward Crow. "And you? Behave." His ears immediately turned red. The sight was too good to pass up. I smirked. "You know, you look like a very handsome giant tomato right now."

He laid down to rest as the coldness ceased. The light blue clouds danced to the breeze as the birds in the air did. The green trees with golden leaves waved from side to side. The grey clouds were nowhere to be found everything was bright and shining. Then a rainbow appeared, it extended from the beginning of the sky to the end. Tiny colorful flat birds flew in multitudes and circled the rainbow. They flew above the trees and seas, fishes and blue dolphins with white bellies jumped out and dived in again. A gigantic whale floating on the sea sprouts its water out of its blowhole. It was so beautiful.

She did not think mere birds could damage Dominic’s shield, no matter how many there were or how fast they rammed into it. “These crows are imbued with magic,” Dominic said, answering Leesa’s unasked question. “Not very powerful, but the combined effect is taking its toll.” He poured more of his own magic into the shield, and the cracks slowly mended themselves. The crows kept attacking, throwing themselves against the shield, heedless of the consequences. The mound of dead birds continued to grow. Leesa stole a glance at phantom Rave. I said standing up. "Oh my god! Liam look there!" She said hushed pointing behind me. We saw a dozens of Scarlet macaws flying between the trees. The bird's feather is mostly scarlet , but the rump and tail-covert are light blue, the greater upper wing are yellow, the upper sides of the flight feathers of the wings are dark blue as are the ends of the tail feathers, and the undersides of the wing and tail are dark red with metallic gold iridescence. Some other has green in the wings. It gave a high squeak fluttering it's feathers and flying freely. It looked beautiful.

In the distance, I could see the lights of the town. Then something happened which made my heart drop to my stomach. A black crow landed on the edge of a tree, cawing loudly. Its beady red eyes met mine. It flew directly towards me, squawking. My hand involuntarily tightened its grip on Aurora's arm and she flinched violently. Then the crow flew straight past her.

All of them started grooming their selves to be more attractive than the other feathered creatures. There were some who went to rivers and lakes to bath themselves, so their feathers would be clean as a whistle. There were others who flew in the morning sky to extract oils from petals of chamomile, juniper berry, and geranium, to make their feathers perfumed. There were others who did nothing for they already had beautiful feathers like the lorikeets and parakeets. The crow carefully watched everyone as they prepare for the selection. He decided to bathe his self to the nearest river but he became glum as he sighted his reflection– his feathers were black as a night sky, even his beak was bl
