I'm going to be sick. We walked far enough away so that not even our wolf hearing would be able to tell what those two were doing. Raya turned to me, looking extremely serious. Whatever changes happened to her since being freed of Elliot's imprisonment had made her strong. Both physically and mentally she seemed almost like a completely different person. Only, thankfully, she was still caring, and compassionate. "Okay, Hunter. It is tike to talk and tell us exactly what is going on? Who is Mauricio? And can they really drain all the life out of someone with just one touch?" She asked me right off the bat. Time to explain so much.

She met my gaze, unwavering. “Because,” she said softly, “I’m starting to realize the monster isn’t really a monster.” I scoffed, looking away. “You don’t know what you’re talking about.” But Rae wasn’t finished. “Monsters don’t get broken over a lost friendship.” I clenched my jaw. “And monsters,” she added, “don’t save the girl who drives them crazy.” I finally looked at her. She was right in front of me now, close enough that I could feel the warmth of her presence.

The most powerful monster, yet believed to be a fragile angel. She's now with her newfound friends eating at the same table. Full of laughter. She seems to be having fun. "Looks like their princess is having so much fun." He said while grinning from ear to ear. But his grin turns into a sinister smile before he speaks once again. "But not for long. Soon, dear Igetes." He said as he took a sip from his precious wine.

His claws on his hands and feet were huge and long but in different sizes. It wasn't any supernatural being I recognized. Rai stood right in front of me and kept telling me to run but I didn't. I stayed still, frozen on the ground. Rai looked back at me and figured that I was not going to move any time soon, and so he lunged towards the monster. I noticed myself snap back to reality and pleaded him to stop but he didn't. He ran towards him until he was directly in front of him. The monster was three times bigger than him. Rai could only land his hand on his side and pushed his hand on his stomach.

Lydia’s POV Rina stayed for an extra week at the Alpha’s castle, and it had to be one of the best weeks of my life. We laughed until our stomachs hurt, explored the halls and hidden corners I remembered from Kaela’s orientation, and ate like royalty. For someone fully human, this place was a surreal blend of nightmare and fantasy. She called it “Beauty and the Beast meets Dracula’s mansion”, and she wasn’t far off.

The shock of the pain breaks through the haze just enough for me to lift my head. And that's when I see Vanya staring at me. Her ropes...are loose. She could have run. But she doesn't run. She just stares at me, her face drenched with tears. She shakes her head, trembling hard. "You're a monster..." she whispers, stepping back. "Please... don't come closer." "I—I'm not moving." I choke out, barely able to breathe, choking on blood, my claws still buried in my stomach. "Vanya... I'm not moving. I'm—"

They hissed and attacked Raff together. Raff turned his snout and sharp claws toward the five spider monsters surrounding him. Then he jumped very high and escaped from their circle. Finally, the spider monsters only attacked empty air because Raff had moved. One spider monster is getting more and more rampaged. With his fighting skills, Raff attacked and knocked them down individually. He even tore the bodies of the monsters with his sharp fangs. I've never seen Raff that scary when he's angry. He really turned into a monster.
