Randy scrambled for Antonio's lead and took off, leaving Cassie in the muck to fend for herself. But the donkey didn't want Cassie. He ditched her and trotted off after Randy and Antonio. Zachary’s voice felt like a ray of light, piercing through the darkness of my despair. I clung tightly to the saddle, leaning my body forward to reduce the resistance. He came back with a beautiful Palamino mare, and I quickly walked toward him to stroke the mare’s head. “I thought you could ride Melys,” he said. I smiled happily and took over her halter, “Yes, please. She is gorgeous.” Colin gave me a suave look, “Beautiful horse for a beautiful woman.” I rolled my eyes and tied Melys to a pole so I could brush and saddle her. Colin disappeared and later came back with a tall brown horse, “This is my horse, R****h.” I chuckled, “The big bad alpha Colin names his horse R****h? What is your dog’s name? Twinkletoes?”

Roxanne changed quickly, her eyes shining with excitement. "You look beautiful in anything, my fair princess," Jaxon complimented her as she stepped out. He took her to the stable, where twenty horses of different breeds awaited. There was Sugarplum, a beautiful chestnut mare with a white blaze on her forehead, Noir, a sleek black stallion with a star-shaped marking on his nose, a proud Arabian named Zephyr, a gentle giant of a Shire horse named Thunder, and several others, each with their unique markings and personalities.

Harvey is a beautiful American Paint Horse. He is a mix of Blank and White and I will admit he is my favorite. He is a very docile creature and he has helped me more than most people know. Harvey was the first horse I was introduced to when I started equestrian therapy. I was a bit intimidated by him, but he proved to be just what I needed. He dealt with me on my good and my bad days and was always there when I needed him. And tonight I need him again.
