It was silent now, aside from my footsteps, but I still could imagine just how magical it felt when the piano at the center of the room was being played. I kept searching the library; none of the titles stood out to me so I gave up and grabbed the book that was sitting in a cozy-looking chair. I plopped myself down and flipped through the first few pages. My eyebrows furrowed as I closed the book and reread the title. "The Origin of Shifters?" I murmured. This book should be thousands of pages long with obnoxiously dense material, but the one in my hands was maybe a hundred pages and full of hand-drawn pictures.

I had seen a movie like this where the girl entered the book. This book was erratic. I wouldn’t take the risk.

Flipping to the next page, I try to see if there's any indication of a title, since neither the front page nor first page have one. I don't see anything of the sort. I flip to the next page and find the same handwriting, but the text in this one looks longer. Groaning, already starting to get irritated by the seemingly pointless search, I flip through some more pages, hoping that I find something meaningful. Rather, most of the pages of the book are blank. Just bare sheets of paper.

The book had an entire thirty-page chapter on soul resurrection but not soul fetching. Slightly annoyed, Levy started to look through the books again and this time much more carefully as she stared at each page until she was sure that she wasn’t missing anything finally she found what exactly was wrong at the end of the third book. “ Someone tore pages from this book,” murmured Levy as she ran her fingers through the rough yet very clean edge of the torn page. Whoever tore the pages of the book, did it very carefully… in fact, they did it so cleanly that Levy would’ve never found what was wrong with the book unless she carefully skimmed through each page.

I should frame this! I continued opening the pages of the book but they were just pure white and empty. I sighed , my hands dropping to the book. Maybe the whole point of looking into the box was to find the picture. All of a sudden my hands began to glow really brightly and so did the first page of the book, or maybe not!.
