Jay still waiting for me to return, leaning casually against the wall. The second he sees me, he straightens, falling in behind me without a word. We walk into the gym together. The mats are already set up across the floor, and Coach stands waiting for us, arms crossed, ready to begin. “I want everyone to gather.” He said waving his hand at us to gather around. I move with the others, Jay peeling off to the side like always, watching without interfering. “Today we’re continuing combat training,” Coach says, scanning the room. “Go ahead and find your partner.”

Once she brought back the supplies, it was time for all business and forget about everything else from earlier. “Alright guys, let’s get started. Just open up you presentation deck to the first slide. Project Second Chance is ready to start.”

Madeline had seen the frame but not the picture in it as it was backing her. Beatrice took the picture frame and showed Madeline. It was a picture of a cute little boy smiling happily and playing in the pool with his floater. He also had chestnut coloured hair and bright eyes like Beatrice. It only took these few seen qualities to know what was up.
