Raven Before I could even say a word, Neil had already vanished into the flames. A plume of black smoke billowed out through the hut’s small windows, swallowing him. For a second, the world felt distant—just the roar of the fire, the crackle of burning wood, and the sound of my own blood rushing through my ears. “We have to go after him!” my wolf howled, terrified of losing our mate to those flames. “We can’t let him—”

The dried twigs began to burn, slowly spreading warmth and chasing away the coldness. Valerie sighed heavily and shook her head. Oddly she is feeling an uncomfortable twitch in her heart knowing that she might never see Prince Raven again. Tyson on the other hand is happy. He is meddling with the bonfire in the middle. His back is facing her, so she missed the smile on his face. But Raphael didn't. "I am glad that you got rid of him" he muttered. Valarie smiled. "It's more like the other way around. He got rid of me" she whispered sadly.

I was afraid that my voice would break and I would start pathetically crying all over again. “Lorcan would you really forsake your family and your rights for a woman who is not even your mate? Your true mate is right here in front of you. Do you not really feel anything for her, not even a single drop of love?” Alpha Axel asks Lorcan once last time, giving him the chance to redeem himself. When he saw me staring at him silently, Raven scratched his head in confusion. "Well, do you want to see the meteor shower?" I snapped out of my memories and flashed him a sweet smile. "Sure! Let's go tonight!" Raven's expression softened slightly as he opened the car door for me. "Go home first, and I'll pick you up later."

He offered a life where I might finally stop running. Aunt Dolores continued, her tone softening just a fraction. “I know you loved Drake with your whole heart. I saw how his rejection broke you. But love that burns hot and leaves you bleeding is not the only kind that exists. Victor can give you something steadier. Someone who chooses you deliberately, not just when passion strikes. I want that for you, Raven. I want you to have a love that stays.”

Raven POV Getting to sit and talk with Allistar made me feel a bit more comfortable with him. Getting to know more about his life and parents turned him from this closed off untouchable guy to a real person and that was a huge step for me being able to fully trust him. It's important to be able to all trust eachother for what is about to happen within the next hour. To say I'm terrified is a complete understatement. There is a real chance I could die tonight during the shift and as much as I am not a fan of my life, I don't prefer to die anytime soon. Alpha White said that I should be fine because I will draw strength from the others, but what if that still isn't enough to keep me alive. Or

She rushed to the bathroom, took her bath and got ready by dressing up, eating her food and hurrying down to the main road to board a cab. Raven heart skipped on remembering her last encounter with Stefan. She couldn't look him in the eyes because she was so scared of him. She was scared to see what his reaction would be. Raven took a deep breath as tears poured out of her eyes on knowing that she had missed him a lot and wished that they could get back together.

I told her, holding my cheeks. I wish she understood how far I was willing to go to prove my love to her. I have tried so hard to stay away from her, I wanted to never have anything to do with her but I ended up falling harder every time I tried. Her eyes were like stars to me, I could stare at them all day without having the urge to look away. “Why are you staring at me that way?” Raven asked shyly, biting her lips. I wanted to take her lips at that moment.

“You became mine the moment you entered my game. And now, sweetheart, you’ll play by my rules.” “I’m not scared of you,” I lied. Raven smiled slowly and coldly. “That’s good. Because fear is boring.
