Chrome and Claws
The hunters were waiting.
They came from the treeline, rifles flashing, crossbows thudding. Human eyes, full of hate older than memory, locked onto the riders. These weren’t random ambushers. They were organized and ready.
The convoy split in chaos. Raven yanked her bike into cover, her wolf screaming to fight. One Fang went down hard, his body flipping across the pavement. Another roared as a bolt punched into his chest.
Raven ripped free of her bike, claws sliding from her fingertips, eyes burning gold. She hit the treeline with a snarl, tearing into the first hunter she saw. His scream cut through the gunfire, wet and gurgling.
