Arlet had held her hand, assuring her that everything would be alright. The pages were filled with images of Raya’s school friends, the birthday parties with their delightful surprises, and every milestone she had celebrated. But as Raya turned another page, a paper slipped out and gently landed on her lap. It was a drawing she had made, a heartfelt gift for Arlet.
