I opened it before I was fully awake and read it once quickly and put my phone down and looked at the ceiling for a long time. Then I picked it up and read it again.

Betty’s eyes went wide at the title, and Elena felt her brows furrow, her forehead creasing into lines as she leaned closer and tried to read the article as well. She read the first paragraph and her heart stuttered. “What the hell?” She whispered. “Are you seriously kidding me right now?” She snatched the tablet from Betty’s hand, staring down at the screen and rereading the same paragraph over and over again, in the hope that what she was reading wasn’t the truth.
