E-reader With Audio Novels & Stories

I wasn’t even sure if he’d gotten everything settled with his frat brothers when he drove me to the airport in the morning. I tried to let those thoughts fade away while on my flight home. I put in my earbuds and decided to listen to one of the smutty werewolf audio books Hana has gotten me hooked on, Alpha Gray by CJ Primer, with Theo and Maddie as narrators. The book is HOT, and Theo’s voice… yeah, it makes for an enjoyable two-and-a-half-hour flight. I love how he changes his voice when speaking for each Alpha. Hana told me they’ve done the narration for the rest of the series, and I can’t wait to listen.

I'm on the last bookcase just as it's starting to get dark. When I try to pull the books off the bottom shelf, one book seems stuck, but I can't tell why. It's not oversized or wedged into the shelf or anything. I pull hard but it doesn't budge. Bending down I realize it's a fake book that when all the other books have been removed it slides to the side, opening an access panel. Behind the access panel is a combination lock. I jump up, get the other slip of paper and after several tries of left and right combinations I open the lock. Inside is a small device that looks like an IPOD with ear buds attached to it. It has a small LCD screen and a thumb wheel with a button in the middle of it. I

"Got halfway through." "So, before I arrived, you were just sitting here, reading it?" Aren adjusted his reading glasses that was still perched on his nose. "Why not? Can't I read?" "Are your eyes okay with that?" At this, Fiona, who was seated in her rocking chair, chimed in. "I told him the same thing! He should use a reading app like I do and listen to audiobooks. "He wouldn't even need to strain his eyes; just pop on the audio, and it reads to him. Isn't that more convenient?"

In the next few days, her life is going to change forever. As she rips off the wrapping paper, I tell her, “It’s fully charged, and I uploaded your favorite version.” A smile spreads across her face when she realizes what it is. Shannen enjoys reading so much. But her electronic book is so old I am surprised it still works. “Not only is it the latest model, but it also has a back-light for reading in the dark.” I brag. She turns on the e-reader and I go to close the curtains. I sat next to her to show her how it works. She squeals with delight as the device lights up. I could see Shannen’s beaming smile. I knew then I had chosen a perfect present for her.

he offered as if that would help sweeten the pot so he could get his way. Which worked. Because…werewolf sex. “Done!” I said immediately and set the breakfast tray on my nightstand so I could jump onto the bed and crawl up next to him. Curling my legs up under me, I cuddled in close to read over his shoulder. “And go.” His eyes twinkled as he grinned at me, then he turned his attention to the e-reader and cleared his throat dramatically before he began to read aloud in a clear, masculine voice that carried the perfect mood and inflection for the scene.

It’s not that I can’t buy them myself, but there’s something special — something intimate — about him filling my bookshelves with the stories I love. I realized then how much I missed the sensory experience of a book: the weight of it in my hands, the rough texture of the paper, and that intoxicating, vanilla-like scent of old pages. “What are you saying?” I asked, barely looking up from the screen. “I’m saying, what are you still doing here?” she asked, practically screaming my head off with her eyes. “I don’t know… but I do know I’m waiting for something. It’s a feeling,” I said. I went back to my e-reader and continued highlighting a particularly moving passage.

Hope rose in Eva as she rushed to the CD player in the middle of the library. She placed the CD in the tray and pushed the tray in. When no sound came from the speakers Eva turned the knob making the volume rise all the way. Still nothing. Frustrated Eva ejected the tray and flipped the CD. She once again pushed the tray in and this time there was a slight hum to it. Eva walked to her windowsill and waited for the audiobook to start. "Oh! Fuck me! Oh yeah! Ah! Ahh!" The loud sounds of moaning and groaning filled the quiet Library scaring Eva half to death. THIS WAS NOT AN AUDIOBOOK!

She sat down behind the bus driver as the doors closed behind her. Ellie pulled out the phone her mom had given her in the car before they had left and turned it on. She scrolled through the apps, noticing a notification indicating she had 3 new text messages. She ignored the notifications and opened the audiobook application. Her finger scrolled through the books loaded on the phone and the books she could d******d. She pulled out the headphones that came with the phone, plugged them in, and scrolled through the preloaded classics on the app. Tears came to her eyes as she saw Pride and Prejudice. She hit play, settled her head against the glass window, closed her eyes, and listen to the soo

“What do you recommend.” “Specialized reading instruction—structured literacy approaches that teach the sound-symbol relationships explicitly. Audiobooks so he can access content without the decoding bottleneck. Extra time on tasks. Visual checklists instead of purely verbal instructions. Short practice sessions so the brain does not exhaust itself. And an immediate stop to the public corrections and the raised voice. Home has to become the place where his nervous system can settle, or the schoolwork will keep collapsing.”

“The pen was for the letters I never sent.” “I kept the notebook in the drawer beside the bed so I could write the things I was too afraid to say aloud.” Each object demands another adjustment—a tilt of my chin, a change in my posture, a softer tone. With every correction, the clothes feel more natural on my skin. The perfume has clung to my hair and the hollow of my throat until I can taste it whenever I breathe. When the inventory ends, a final drawer opens. Inside rests a small silver audio device no larger than a matchbox. He places it in my hand. The metal is cool against my palm.
