Alpha Nox

Alpha Nox

How fitting, I thought bitterly. “More often than not the Death card isn’t about the literal death of a person. It may represent the death of something else. Perhaps a relationship, or part of yourself. The scythe cuts away the chords that bind us to the past. It encourages one to press forward without fear, reminding us that when all is lost, we truly have nothing left to lose.” I shifted in my seat, hiding my discomfort behind a mask of calm indifference. “I suppose that makes sense.” Zuri hummed her agreement, then flipped the second card over.

Awesome book with a crazy, strong female. Has some typos and inconsistencies but still understandable as has decent grammar. Would be better if nox had shown more of his abilities to be at par with his strong mate

This was the 3rd Jane Doe book I read. Alpha nox is a really good read with a badass female lead. You're a talented author and I can say you've become my favorite author! My heart broke into pieces at some point but intense emotions are what I love the most about your work! Good job, Jane!

Beyond The Hallow Grave: Editingle Indie House Anthology (Ed

Yes, we cry blood; some stories get that part right. We can also die. There is no special way to kill us, no magical ritual or special tactics needed. We heal frighteningly fast, but if something kills us quickly enough, we don't have time to repair ourselves. That's why we're usually dispatched with a strike to the heart or blow to the head. Fire also does a number on us, overwhelming our systems so thoroughly that we don't know how to fix it. Sunlight won't kill us, but it does, like Stoker said, take our powers away. Also, when we do meet our final curtain, we don't become dust, or revert to our “true” age, or burst into flames. Nothing fantastic and cinematic-like that occurs at all. We

My Wedding Death

My Wedding Death

He was also crying but he still put me first because I felt like I was going to faint from what I witnessed. Just like in my dream. It is true that Don Jose is dead. His body was so decomposed that we buried him without opening the coffin. Just like papa, we will also cremate Don Jose's body. All relatives and acquaintances of Don Jose attended. Almost all the townspeople sympathized with the loss of Don Jose. Even so, security is still tight at the Mansion because Beth has not been caught yet.

Death Bed

Death Bed

"She couldn't speak. She could barely breathe. When I saw that... it scared me... I wanted to call a doctor, an ambulance, someone to help. She called me over, to-told me to sit down and listen carefully. She said she wanted me to promise her something before she goes..." Damien let out a sigh and wiped his tears. Ashleigh could feel tears building up in her eyes too. "She said I should promise to move on and continue being a good man... promise to live life to the fullest and not let anything stop me from doing so... be it sickness, be it poverty, be it loss, I should take it all as it comes. "I promised her I would then she... sh-she closed her eyes a-a-and that was it. She just... died...

Alone in Death

Alone in Death

"She was declared dead by the hospital four days ago. And you're only finding out now?" The room fell deathly silent. Everyone stood frozen as if struck by lightning. David's eyes widened, staring at the photo on the screen. "You must be mistaken. How could she be declared dead so suddenly?" He grabbed the officer's arm as his voice trembled. The officer impatiently shook him off. "The systems are connected. There's no mistake. She passed away in a hospital just a few kilometers from your house. Four days ago. Aren't you her husband? Why are you only looking for her now?"

Death is the only Escape

Death is the only Escape

Oliver ordered him, but it didn't break him. "I...I can't..." He replied hesitantly. He loved his business more than his life and didn't want all those dark secrets to come out, for they could destroy everything. "I'm asking one last time... WHO IS IT!!?" Oliver lost his temper. The man on the gunpoint stayed quiet and didn't even move a little. He lowered his head and just waited for his death. "Sorry then..." Oliver said one last time before he pulled the trigger. The bullet went into his head, causing immediate death. Oliver didn't even flinch or have a disturbed expression on his face after killing that guy.

A Death Reveals My Husband's Other Family

A Death Reveals My Husband's Other Family

If anything had come up, he should have contacted Arthur. As I was lost in thought, Terrell continued, "Ms. Rodriguez made a will before her passing and entrusted me to notarize it. All her assets are to be inherited by you. I recently learned that Ms. Rodriguez has passed away. I'm calling to discuss the inheritance process with you." I froze, wondering if I had heard wrong. Arthur's family had been dirt poor. Paula had been bedridden for seven years. What inheritance could there possibly be? And even if there was, it wouldn't be enough to involve a lawyer.

The Devil’s Kryptonite

he continued, "the eight minute mark is the period in which death flashes before your eyes; when the time is up or eight minutes has passed, you are physically declared deceased. Nothing is able to bring you back, unless in such a case as this, it's a miracle!" "Well I'm glad you think so; I couldn't imagine what I'd do without her," she then whispered, "Brit & Tom would be so angry." The dad nodded at her words. "Hm? Did you say something?" The doctor asked. The mom shook her head and I exited the scene; I've already wasted too much time here, but being in this plane sped time up. I looked at Thanatos and he said nothing, only giving me a knowing nod. I returned to my kingdom and walked int

More Than Pleasures Steamy Diaries

More Than Pleasures Steamy Diaries

If she came to him, if she really came to him, it could only mean that she is dead. That idea lodged in his heart and corrodes him with every thought. He can not stop thinking about how terrible that fact would be if it were true, and if this girl is the real Sarah, her death would undoubtedly be in his hands. But am I really dead!? Ted thinks at that moment. He always remembered that everyone talked about how when you die, you mysteriously can't remember the way you died, but in his case, that couldn't be further from reality. In his case, he perfectly understands the way he died.
