I tapped my thighs, and he adjusted himself on the couch, with his head on my thighs. I ran my fingers through his hair and picked up the book. “My mom used to read them to me. It’s one of my favorite stories.” “I want to hear it…” I opened the first page, my hand was still in his hair, and I started reading to him.
