Reading From The Holy Bible Novels & Stories

Andrea suggests as she places her Bible on the stands and begins to read. "The Lord is my shepherd. I lack nothing, He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside still waters, He refreshes my soul, He guides me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake." Julia shares and begins to read it with Andrea, Robert, and Alexa.

I took a breath, trying to calm the tremor in my hands. The choir finished their hymn, the congregation waited and then the pulpit light came on. It was time. I stepped forward, opened my Bible, and began. “Good morning, brothers and sisters.” My voice echoed softly. “Today’s teaching is from the book of First Corinthians, chapter six, verses eighteen to twenty.” I paused, letting the familiar sound of the pages turning settle the air. “‘Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually sins against their own body. Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you… You are not your own.’”

But at the front door, he said something, words leaving his tongue laboriously. "The Bible," he whimpered to me. Immediately, I ran back into his office, rummaging through the mess. He stepped forward until the tide licked his boots and began, the words ringing out clean and formal, cutting across the wind. “In nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritus Sancti…” He signed the air with the cross and flicked droplets of holy water toward the surf. Where they fell, the wash recoiled with a low, guttural groan—as if something had flinched. Gabe felt the hair rise on his arms.

"This is the Holy Clan's highest practice, the Holy Demon Scriptures. I watched you fight the last time, and it seemed like you also practiced the Infernal Scripture. "The Infernal Scriptures is only a part of the Holy Demon Scriptures, and it's not as advanced and perfect as the Holy Demon Scriptures, so I retrieved this for you," Anna explained.

I turned around again on my bed trying to find a magic position to make me sleep and forget reality. I just couldn't rest, as I turned around my eyes landed on that one book, that one book I do not like to cslla book , I call it life. I got off my bed and walked to my drawer to pick up my bible. I had gifted one to Desiree and I had one with me. I opened it up and started reading…. One hour later…. I closed down on my bible with a heavy sigh from my lungs. My heart was now steady and normal. I looked at the bible again and just smiled, funny how much life it had and no one seems to understand the gravity it has, the amount of life it gives.
