In fact, Golden barely qualified as a member of that group because compared to others with the same condition, he remembered only a little bit, while the others retained the memories of all their past lives or almost all of it. Furthermore, his inherited knowledge of his past life was mostly miscellaneous, not very useful.

"No. You said nothing wrong." My voice came out quiet, almost reverent. Could she possibly know? Was there any way she remembered too? In that moment, something passed between us—a connection I couldn't quite name. I started walking again, falling into step beside her, but my mind was racing. This time around. The phrase wasn't common, especially not in reference to mate bonds. It implied previous iterations, previous lives. Just like mine. Just like the memories that haunted me.

She is so perfect in pronunciation that I know this is not the first time she has used this. Like before, she vanishes into thin air so suddenly. A blink and gone. Knowing it’s familiar, but my fuddled, fatigue-ridden brain is having a hard time recalling.

The doctor stated confidently. A sentence came into my mind that had me looking up at the doctor with wide eyes. "I know how to open up a door. You have to turn the door handle." I stated confidently. That's why the door handle giggled, it needed to be turned. "It's a door knob sweet heart. Not a handle." My father stated as he pressed his lips together. "Turn the door knob." I whispered as the words just came to me. "I can remember things." I rushed out with a smile. If they told me the words I would remember. They were inside my head. I could only assume it would take time for my memories to come back.
