I mentally slapped myself. I recognized him as a vampire because of his bloodshot red eyes that were staring at me intensely. It made me feel weird. Suddenly he started to lean in, and before I could move away, he buried his head in the crook of my neck. A surprise gasp left my lips as he sniffed my neck. It was enough to send shivers down my spine. This act seemed to relax him and his red eyes returned to their normal color. Now, I'm imagining things. When his eyes reached their normal color, I was stunned. Hazel colored eyes with golden rings around the irises were staring into my eyes as if they had reached my soul.
