Luna Queen Eleanor had already bathed and was resting against the headboard, a book in her hands. Serena raised an eyebrow. Three years had passed; had her grandmother’s tastes become so refined? She squinted at the cover. *The Rogue Ranger’s Forbidden Mate.* Ah. Still addicted to trashy romance novels. Seeing Serena enter, the Queen quickly tossed the book aside. "Come here, my little wolf." Serena climbed onto the massive bed, curling up against the Queen just as she had when she was a pup. Queen Eleanor wrapped an arm around her, patting her back rhythmically and humming an old nursery rhyme of the Royal Pack.

Sarah’s limbs felt stiff as she was led to a soft, red velvet armchair and sat down. The square table in front of her was also draped in understated, luxurious red velvet, creating a striking visual contrast with the table’s jade-like luster—a sight of breathtaking beauty. Exquisitely prepared dishes, arranged on silver platters, lay on the table, looking so tempting they made one’s mouth water. Moreover, the most eye-catching sight was a bottle of Lafite held by Adrian. He opened it and poured the deep red wine into a stemmed glass set before her.
