The Billionaire's Protector

His unwavering commitment to his dreams and the support he received from his community fueled Nathan and Miranda's passion for promoting educational opportunities and empowering marginalized youth. Accidental Surrogate for Alpha

Accidental Surrogate for Alpha

“Really,” he says, surprised. “What happened?” And then he lets me go, moving to the door to twist the lock and then taking my hand, leading me into the kitchen where I’m sure that there’s some kind of takeout waiting for me. “We went to the refugee camp, the one with the wolves,” I tell him, smiling with pleasure as my suspicions are confirmed. Roger opens the fridge and pulls out some packages of my favorite Thai noodles. He starts to put them into a bowl for me as I sit down at the table and continue. “There were so many children there who needed help. Ella healed the ones who needed it most – but it was…it was a lot.”

I love this book! I hate that chapters are barely two pages and at this rate I’m probably not going to see the end. For the cost at this rate I could have bought quite a number in physical form. As I have so far spent just under of $100 this is most likely my last Good Novel purchase.

On the Origin of Humanity

On the Origin of Humanity

Peter was so adamant about asking him these questions. “I heard it from another man when I got in Bayonne. They told something about this place being a refugee or something,” he replied. And because of what he said, I together with Justine and Peter had become so confused. My brows furrowed that I don’t know if I heard it right. What? This place was a refugee? No way. When we got here, there was no any person there. It was just the three of us! So how was that possible? There’s no one here to save us. But of course, I am hoping that someone will still come and get us.

Forbidden Love - Fragments of Forgotten Love

Forbidden Love - Fragments of Forgotten Love

After Sarah left, Costa and I stood in silence, absorbing the reality of our situation: six hundred years removed from everything we'd known yet somehow more at home than we'd ever been. "It's strange," he said finally, running his fingers along a wooden table crafted by human hands, not machines. "I feel like I should be mourning everything we've lost, but instead..." "Instead, it feels like we've finally found something," I finished for him. Outside our window, more transports were arriving, bringing refugees from the fallen city-states. I watched as people stepped into sunlight for perhaps the first time in their lives, their faces turned upward in wonder. "They'll need guidance," Costa s

RUTHLESS BILLIONAIRE EX-HUSBAND CHASED ME BACK

RUTHLESS BILLIONAIRE EX-HUSBAND CHASED ME BACK

We leaned into the prow, wind tugging our clothes. “Tell me something non‑Consortium,” Jeff said, brushing his thumb across the bracelet. “Remind me of you.” I thought back. “I was six when I saw my first tidal wave of refugees cross the coast. I grabbed my sister’s hand and… I knew I couldn’t stop them. But I could tell their stories. Shared truth then, as I do now.” Jeff’s eyes glistened in the lantern‑light. “You were telling stories then. And now, you make others believe them.”

THE CHOSEN ONE

THE CHOSEN ONE

Her blue eyes were filled with hope, and I felt awful for crushing it. “No. I’m sorry. No one else survived.” “Oh.” The little girl, wide-eyed and curious, timidly approached Alyssa. “We’re safe here. The refuge protected us during the invasion and has kept the wolves at bay for now. But we can’t stay here forever,” the elder woman said. “I know,” my grandmother replied gently. “But for now, we’re safe. That’s what matters.” “We have no food,” the boy muttered again. “It’s true. We forgot to grab any when the invasion started,” said Marjorie’s daughter, shoulders slumped.

Unforeseen Entanglement

Unforeseen Entanglement

“First time in months.” “Yeah, well.” I rolled over to face him properly. “Turns out banishing your stalker does wonders for your mental health.” We ended up having breakfast in bed—Christian insisted, saying I deserved to be pampered after yesterday's trial. I didn't argue. The pancakes were amazing. “I've been thinking,” I said, syrup dripping from my fork. “About those three refugees you helped rescue. The ones staying in the guest house.” Christian raised an eyebrow. “What about them?”

Her Paper Marriage

Her Paper Marriage

I just hoped that when we got to safety, she would not cling to me and each of us would go separate ways. We arrived at a bar in the night as planned by Lucia. The bar was run by her friend candela. In the basement, there was a room that housed illegal immigrants. They could still stay for a while when they got jobs. When they had enough to be on their own, they had to live the ‘boarding house’. Good thing I had some money. Ora and Lucia had advised me to dress poorly so no could imagine I had any extra money. To everyone except Lucia and Rosie, I was a refugee from Congo who was running from a civil war trying to get asylum. How could I have any money then?

The Apocalypse Hoarder

The Apocalypse Hoarder

A paper book rested in his hands while multiple surveillance feeds played silently across the large screen before him, displaying views of both the interior and exterior of the bunker. After the Frostfall, without the burden of work, his life settled into a steady rhythm. He had grown fond of reading. Some books had come from the library. Others had belonged to Severin. The one in his hands now was "Ordinary World" by Lucas Wayworth. Reading it in this era carried a strange weight. The ordinary days described in its pages were gone forever. The ordinary world itself now lay buried beneath endless ice and snow. Yet one thing remained unchanged. Human beings, resilient by nature, would struggl

HIS EX-LUNA HAS A SON

HIS EX-LUNA HAS A SON

As I held my daughter close, her tiny hand wrapping around my finger, I couldn't believe I had ever considered abandoning her, even for a second, even though I hated her mother with every fiber of my being. But that didn't make Sophia any less mine, any less precious. Madison wasn't fit to be a mother or a wife to anyone, she was a monster wearing pretty skin, and if Maxwell hadn't already dealt with her, I would have to do it myself. I walked past the refugees chilling outside the shelter in the open courtyard. Some of them were roasting marshmallows around a small campfire, the smell of smoke and sugar thick in the air, with kids laughing and chasing each other around them. It was almost n
