In the places where she had crossed out names and rewritten them smaller, tighter, harder to read. One entry mentioned Old Québec. Another mentioned a meeting near the lower market. Another mentioned “the page,” as if there were only one page in the world that mattered. Then the journal jumped. A gap. The section where something had been torn. I flipped ahead, pulse hammering. The final page still present was blackened on one edge and half separated from the spine. The last intact lines read: If Sabine reaches Hector before the page is moved, she will understand what he did to the girl and why Renaud must never….

I sat on the desk, pulled out a the a book where I have been writing about the Demon king, Zemia. It was like a diary, where I wrote all the things Zemia does on a daily bases. I drafted a few things down and then got off my chair, I got on my kneels and kept the book on the bottom shelf, I pulled out a big book with leaves printed on the cover. I sighed when I stared at the faded inks of the last page, I was able to save the first pages but it was suscpious like she did it intentionally or it was a hiding message.

The paper curled the moment it kissed the flame. Scarlet didn’t hesitate. She pressed the notebook harder into the candlelight, watching as the edges blackened, the ink blistering and fading into nothing. The words she’d bled onto those pages...plans, filth, fear, secrets...warped and vanished in a hiss. Ronan was still struggling with his shirt, fabric caught over his head like a damn blindfold. She tossed the burning book into the fireplace. And screamed.

Today I saw it in the books which I had not read so I decided to read this one. Currently, I am in my room and sitting on the bed with my knees pulled to my chest. I am holding the book with my only left hand. I cannot use my right hand because the king burnt it last night with hot candle wax. The candle wax had deeply burnt my skin and I am sure the wounds will leave scars. It was very painful and I felt like my arm was in direct contact with hot blazing fire rather than hot wax. It was worse than walking on the hot sand. When he left the room last night, I fainted. I woke up this morning.

Amelia looked down at the book and she saw the white fire she had walked into at the temple. “That’s it, that’s the white fire which was at the temple,” she exclaimed. “Just as I thought,” Cara replied. “But there’s nothing written about it,” Amelia said. The page only had the picture of the white fire on it but nothing else that could tell them what it was about. “Don’t be too sure,” Cara said. She reached out for a bottle of black ink that was on the table and poured it all over the page of the book. “What are you…” Amelia stopped talking when she saw words starting to appear out of the ink that was on the page. “Woah!” she said in awe.

AURORA Lizra dropped a humongous thing on my lap. “This is a history book with detailed explanations of the most famous and high-ranked Lunas that the territories have ever had. I made some small notes in most chapters and I’m sure you’ll find it useful.” Wait… it’s a book and… was she kidding me? “How many pages is this thing?” I asked, dusting and seeing nothing but the plain shabby leather brown cover of the thickest thing ever.

Trisha heard Mrs Perry complain as she glided through shelves teemed with ages-old books before she could be pulled into hours-long conversation with the old lady. She picked up a book from a dilapidated shelf, blew off the dust that had found solace on it's leather covering over the years, and squinted— because of the poor illumination, to see the books name. ‘Wizards Can Do More’ by one of the greatest wizards ever, LP Travis. It was a book she wanted but not one she needed. Hence, she put it back in its spot among other dusty books and walked to another shelf.

He drops off the plates, then leads the way to their rooms. They bump into Eva on their way, and Celine holds out the books to her. “I’ve read them all, barring the chapters that George said weren’t applicable in this day and age. But the spoons are really tricky.” Eva pales a little, Celine tilts her head ever so slightly in confusion, Eva shakes herself, “Sorry, I’m just… you’ve read all of them?” She nods, “George pointed out some chapters that weren’t going to be relevant to me, regarding fashion, etc. But otherwise yes.” She looks her in the eye, “Did you really expect me to take a week?” Eva looks at George with a stern look, he smirks,

I had thought that it would burn me – taking a peek at the two women who were with me, they were back away from the fire, Leah patted the small flame that got on her pants, Lyv helping her put it out. I could still feel the heat, but what was odd was that the flames didn’t burn me. I lowered my hands slowly, looking at the book – now burning yet the pages were intact. My heart beat fast as I walked back to the podium. I blink, there was something new. I blinked again. I rubbed it, feeling the sting I had felt when Leah brought me to Neverwhere.

“What book is it?” Regina hears the acquiescence in Mattel’s question and perks up. Eagerly, she shifts off the bed to pull it up from where she’d placed it on the night stand the day before, practically leaping back and making the mattress bounce with her enthusiasm. Regina turns to him, beaming, parting her lips to explain the latest book that had pulled her attention. Mattel pulls said attention to her, now, with a kiss. The book is abandoned on the floor for the rest of the morning.
