Reign Of Blood Roman Empire Novels & Stories

“You’ve been looking at him from time to time.” I took a deep breath and began, “Emperor Marcus Aurelius Antoninus. He was one of the greatest Romans. In fact, he was part of a continuous line of the so-called Five Good Emperors. They ruled the empire with good governance, wisdom, and virtue. Well, that’s what history books said about him.” He tilted his chin. “Ah, well-versed in history, aren’t you?” “It’s a future career of mine,” I replied with a shrug. “I wanted to go to Rome and study their ruins someday.” That wouldn’t happen anyway since I’d be dead if I got recalled.

I wonder how long it will take him to figure it out though? "Not really." Setsu shrugged and stopped his eyes on one of the tapestries. "That one is wrong. The reigning Empress at the time did not defeat the 12 Headed Hydra. She married him as her seventh husband to rebuild the empire from the battle involving the South Empire during that time. The descendants are currently the 19th Kingdom in the Empire. The strongest bloodline members are however no longer a part of the empire and kingdom." "Lies!" The Chancellor said. Setsu shrugged and continued looking around. Blatantly ignoring the man. "Of all the nerve."

I was baffled and I started to read what was written on the pages that were marked with my picture. There will be a time, centuries away from now. My bloodline will end and my people will be facing demise and an extreme state of adversity. Only then my bravest son will find his mate and continue my legacy. The night of the blood moon that will fall after the series of many lunar eclipses, will be the night when he will claim his mate and rise above the peasants. Humanity will fall apart and new world order will begin.

Every warrior behind him stood like a statue of iron, their eyes fixed on my father, waiting for the single gesture that would authorize his end. “Reign,” Roman’s voice was like grinding stones, vibrating with a calm, absolute authority. “Step back now, or you will face the full weight of a miscalculation you won’t survive.” Reign’s eyes narrowed into hateful slits, his face contorting as his ego buckled under the pressure. “You’ll regret this, Roman. You’re choosing a freak over the blood of this pack.”

He’d been told they found his mother after a severe battle, and she bled to death after giving birth to him because they couldn’t get her to the healers in time. He’d grown up in a war orphanage where many orphans of the lower castes were housed after the war to combine the last two vampiric states into the empire. It had been a long and bloody war that spanned over three emperors’ lifetimes. Emperor Franco Centauri Gervais was called the Blood Demon because he was the one who took out everyone in his way in the most bloody manner. He’d killed his own allies in the end to make the empire one under his control.

Serafina POV “Mom! Daddy” I murmured. A cold corpse lay in a pool of blood. “Ah!” I screamed. “No… no!” I gasped, jerking upright, my vision blurring as I tried to focus. My breathing turns uneven, sweat dampening my skin. I look down at the golden gown draped over my body. It appears flawless on my body compared to the memories tearing through my mind. My parents. The image won’t leave.

They were covered in blood. Lucian sat slumped on the throne, eyes burnt out. “No… no.” This wasn’t me. I wouldn’t do this. I fell to the ground, shivering. “This is your future, Saraphina. You can’t control your powers. Let me in, and I’ll teach you.” I screamed, and fear erupted from my hands. Uncontrollably. I’d never made a flame that big it terrified me. You are the monster, Saraphina. You are the monster. And all this blood is going to be on your hands.

He simply nods. He doesn’t need to intervene. I am running this now. *Activate the secondary asset. We take the heir.* The words sit on the glowing screen like a bomb with a timer I cannot read. Someone is coming for the baby. Someone is coming for the embryos. And I do not know who, or when, or how. I only know that the war I thought was political has razor-sharp teeth, and they are aimed directly at my bloodline. Let them come. They’re about to find out what happens when you threaten a Romanov heir while the Queen is awake.

He was dealing with a true-blooded Vampire, the rightful heir of the Vampire kingdom and dark empire. He didn't even have time to scream before I ripped his throat out and sunk my hand into his chest. Black Blood oozed from the gaping hole, his heart still beating as I ripped it from his body. He dropped to the ground, his red eyes wide with shock. I tossed the heart beside him crushing it under my boot. I leaned over him, my face an inch from his. "Long live the king." I spat, ripping his head off his body and making my way to the castle.

He buried it down to the hilt, then gave it a hard twist. The pain of it caused her to scream resoundingly, which prompted the crowd around them to cheer even louder. Retholis then yanked his blade out of her, and allowed her blood to come pouring out of her gaping wound. It leaked out and soaked the black sand underneath her. He flipped her over on her back, so she could die looking at the sky above them. “I won’t deny that the Empire is ruled by coin,” he told the dying Empress. “But there’s a difference between profiting and profiteering. Only fools engage in wars believing it to be the only means of profit.”
