"Protect the Lycan King!" I stared at the highly coordinated rogues in front of me. I took a step back. I was actually reborn. Right at the very beginning of the nightmare. I looked down at the silver distress flare in my hand. While no one was watching, I tossed the flare straight into the nearby lake. Then, I threw myself in front of the Lycan King, who was struggling against the rogues. Under the King's shocked gaze, I used my body as a shield, taking slash after slash from the rogues' claws.

The world narrowed. My father’s aura rolled outward, suffocating and lethal. “You took my daughter,” he said, voice low and shaking with contained fury.
