His heart was beating at a slow rhythm and he was barely even breathing. I may not be able to heal and close his wounds at least I could return his kindness by not letting him die. Though the method I thought of was not supposed to be done since he was not my husband but until I find my sister, he could have my bead. Drawing close to him, I shut my eyes and focused on bringing out my bead of power. Unlike before, it was glowing in faint green due to its power almost being drained. However, it was still strong enough to keep a human being alive. I sealed his lips with mine and transferred the bead into him.

I turn around and lean back on him as we gaze upon the sky, and I point at the brightest star in the sky tonight. “There! That’s the first star I saw and I thought I’d make a wish…not for me but for all the lycans and werewolves out there. So we might…you know, finally have the next heir.” He laughs. “Damn it, woman, what the hell are you wishing on a star for, then? Were you planning on conceiving the next heir through an immaculate conception?” I blush. “No, silly, of course not, but—”

Suddenly, from the remnants of the smoke, a low, haunting laugh echoed through the warehouse. "Did you truly believe it would be that easy to vanquish me?" a voice whispered, dripping with malice. Felicity had not been destroyed but had managed to reincarnate herself, her essence now intertwined with the very darkness that had granted her power. The friends exchanged worried glances, realizing that their battle had only been the beginning. Felicity emerged from the shadows, her form distorted and twisted by the dark forces she had embraced. Her eyes burned with a newfound hunger for revenge, and her power radiated like a malevolent aura.

She smiled. “Oh, no. I’m not ashamed. I just don’t want everyone to know. I’m not comfortable with that.” I rubbed my hand on my forehead in a swift motion. “I would like to know two things. Number one is that you said that you have read about people reincarnating and being blessed with gifts. Where did you read that?”

I can’t keep pretending any longer. It was hard not to burst out my emotion, to not embrace her longer or perhaps kiss her. Grr! How will I even do that if I am inside this woman’s body?? And seriously lord?? My ex-girlfriend?? Of all the people that I can reincarnate, you chose my ex-girlfriend?? Why?? I could have reincarnated to a man so it would not appear weird telling Chelsea I am her fiancée but this?? How will she supposed to believe me when I tell her that I am Dale? This is absurd!!

He glances in the direction of the two boys who just took off and hisses, “Idiots. Andy needs to get looked at too.” “I didn’t throw him in on purpose,” I meet Quill’s blue gaze, and I see it soften. “I know.” His voice turns hard almost instantly. “We should let the counselors know about this. Let’s head back.” As we begin the trek back, I’m unusually subdued. My mind is racing with possibilities. What just happened? It couldn’t be real, right? This healing speed was almost supernatural! I shudder. Everything about this place is weird. “Have you ever heard of piranhas in streams?” I ask, slowly.

I whispered at that, careful not to let anyone hear me. Seeing Daisy was still in a confused mess, I tried to convince her. “It’s complicated,” I admitted, scratching my cheek nervously. “I woke up in this body after… well, after I died.” I was apologetic, I scratched my eyebrows out of nervousness. “Sorry for dragging you in like that. I just needed an excuse to be alone now.” Daisy blinked, her mind clearly racing. "Rhea?" she repeated, skepticism lacing her voice. "Then, how many acorns do I kept under my pillow?"

I stayed silent and let her continue. "Finally, one day, the god Zudious came to me in a dream. He said he could not bring back the dead. It is against the laws of nature , but he granted me a different wish. Victor would be reborn as a human. And when I feel a desire to go to the human world, that will be the sign. That will be the moment we reunite." She said it with a small, hopeful smile. I wanted to ask if it was truly possible, but seeing that smile on her face, I couldn't bring myself to.
