She needed to release it immediately. “Huh. This brat.” She bent trying to heave in breaths before turning to Esmer. “Let me do it. I need to vent some aura." Esmer wanted to deny her as her child might respond badly to it but the Princess didn’t wait for her and was quick to climb up. She was too shaken up to say anything anyway. With her one hand raised she released her burning blue aura. In awe, all the witches gaped. The magic circle, as if waiting immediately came to life.

Days passed, my body aching with hunger, thirst, and exhaustion. The scar on my side burned like fire, a reminder of the curse that bound me. Finally, I reached a river. The water sparkled under the morning sun, mocking me with its beauty. I collapsed by its edge, panting, my body weak. I opened my eyes and found myself back to my human form. Then I guessed I had run so far away from where Tatia’s spell could hold me back. I became ridiculously thirsty,the thirst was unbearable, so I lowered my head to drink, but as soon as the water touched my lips, I choked.

"What do you mean, harness her powers? You mean…steal them?" "Exactly!" she snapped back, her composure slipping for a moment before she sighed deeply and pinched the bridge of her nose. "Caleb, listen to me. When a witch gets her powers for the first time, she releases this—this burst of pure energy. It’s like a signature, a beacon, showing how powerful they’re going to be. Do you understand what I’m saying?" I stared at her, the pieces coming together in my mind. "So you’re saying… when Aurora gets her powers—"

Forgetting the broken glass on the floor, I scrambled closer, my voice incredulous. "What did you just say the missing White Wolf King's name was?" The witch selling toads, her face alight with excitement, shoved a yellowed magical newspaper in front of me. "Bruce Silvermoon! Cici, you're always so buried in your potions, you probably don't follow this stuff. He's the sole Alpha heir of the Silver Moon Pack, the biggest celebrity in the werewolf world!"

No pity. “Let him go,” I whispered. The witch did not respond. I stepped forward, palms trembling, though I tried to hide it. “Please.” The word felt sour on my tongue, but it came out anyway. “Release him.” Her eyes finally shifted to me. They were pale...too pale...as if color had abandoned them ages ago. She lifted one finger. Just one. And as though gravity remembered him again, my father gasped and sat upright. He was free.

She started whispering words under her breath, and her eyes turned completely white. Suddenly, she began to speak in a trance-like voice. "Avery's bloodline carries a dormant curse. As a descendant of the Silver Witches, she has the power to awaken her full abilities. But this awakening comes with consequences. Whoever releases her power becomes bound to her, forever tied to her fate." I felt a shiver run down my spine as the witch's words hung in the air. A dormant curse? Bound to someone forever? I didn't know what to make of it all. I looked at my grandfather, hoping for some guidance, but his expression was serious and unreadable.

"This has got to be the one T-bone was talking about before we shot him... At least we got a name." Keegs lit up his phone and began thumbing through the screen. "Got it. Lasses Birgitta. A Swedish Witch that, apparently, tried to raise the dead in a churchyard by using the stole of a priest. She confessed that she sold her soul to the devil, renounced God and was beheaded. Sounds just like the woman you want to bring home to Mom... Well, I would anyway," Keegs grinned.

Also her power of speech indicated well about her upfront attitude. She was clever with her words since the start. "Are you a w-witch, lady?" Slowing the speed of the carriage a little, the man focused on the lone mysterious passenger sitting on his carriage. His mind revolved solely around her now, as practicing such a witchcraft makes her obviously a witch! "What if I say I am?" Princess Rosemary uttered without any hint of surprise while soon her eyes being drawn on the carriage boy's vehicle briefly. "Gabrio is your name right?"

"The queen of the witches! And who are you? A measly witch. Even your mother dare not speak to me in the manner in which you have spoken to me." She said and brought out a long staff. She was furious for not being respected by Lucia. She needed to teach the half breed with a life lesson she wouldn't forget in a hurry. She looked round the room in her invisible state and looked for a better place to attack Lucia from. She had seen the hair come out on her and her fingers had become claws although she hadn't shifted fully. "Be ready to die!" The Queen of the Witches shouted and pointed the staff at Lucia while murmuring some incomprehensive words. She cackled and soon the whole room was shakin

“You dare come here after what you did!” the witch spat angrily. Alpha Tylor tried to say something, but the witch could not hear him as she was busy choking him. She dropped him to the ground and watched as Tylor coughed uncontrollably. “I came here to make peace.” He finally said when he stopped coughing.
